Fat stack of price drops today.  Some are due to crossing order thresholds, others to shared keys.

Have you ever run a group buy?  What we do here seems to be in the grey area of their TOS.

I just buy and sell stuff like most people. GB's would be a high volume per period of time thing. They probably want the people who run all of these GB's to have small business accounts.

The Tldr version of my ban is that 140 invoices without shipping confirmation in 36 hours was too much. And Ripster answered their call.

Sounds like I was right about the high volume per period of time thing. They probably wouldn't even bat an eye if you had a small business account.

The conclusion we drew from the RCT Incident was not to use invoices.  That seems to have been a contributing factor.

Ragnorock uses invoices, but he did OK though.  I think it also has something to with how old/new your account is, how much you have been receiving versus how much you have been paying, if you have a credit card or two as backup payment instruments, and if you have some regular activities (in or out).

Invoice could be a problem still.  I didn't use invoices for my acrylic cases, and some people gifted me money, some paid as goods payments.  BiNi also took in a lot of payments for Phantom group buy.  No invoices, some goods payments, some gifts.  I have had my paypal account for over 10 years.  Mostly for sending payments.

Age of the account may be a factor but it is interesting that Ragnorock's invoices explicitly stated that there was a 3-5 week lead time before shipment would occur. Thus PayPal couldn't reasonably ding him for not shipping within 36 hours.

Black and white base kits are 3 orders from a price break.  The black break will be large.

White and Dolch FULLMODs are 1 order away from the 25-unit tier, which should also be a significant discount.

You will need/want a set of Dolch moogle kit later, when you find a Dolch keyboard.  As you can see the number of orders for black and white moogle kits are much higher than Dolch.  The Dolch moogle kits are going to be very rare.  I would get a set even if I don't have a Dolch keyboard.  The Dolch moogle kits are going to be good trade for other future rare keyboard stuff.

Seriously.

Should expand dolch kit to include all tkl keys apart from alpha&numbers. Would allow people to use it without a dolch. An arrow key set and block above ;) at a push

There has never been a Dolch moogle kit group buy.  I don't know what you are comparing the current Dolch moogle kit pricing to, or why you even brought up Dolch for comparison when hashbaz only referenced black and white moogle kits in his thread that you replied to.

Good idea!  Just like this, except the colors are reversed:

But the kit price would be a lot more expensive, unless it really brings in more orders to lower the overall cost.

No, he didn't say "these".  He specifically said black and white base kits.  No Dolch mentioned.  So why did you bring up Dolch again?  You want more people to order more Dolch moogle kits, right?  Yes, good.

New?  Never seen new Dolch keyboards before.  They were very expensive when they were new.  Companies bought them to actually use them for real work.  They were network sniffers.  Most Dolch outer shells look to be beaten up since they are portables and were moved from job site to job site.  The good thing is most Dolch keycaps are in good shape because when they were not in use the keyboard was folded in and be protected.  The bad thing is due to how the software is used, the arrow keys are usually shiny.  Of the 5 sets that I have I think only one set's arrow keys that are in good shape.  That may apply to the Esc key as well.

As expensive as used Dolch keyboards are, if there were a NIB one, it would cost a lot of money.

Really? I was told most of the Dolch boards are in great shape. I've had 2 and both looked like they have never been used.

yes, most of the keys should be in great shape.  My guess is due the software'UI that ran on these Dolch computers, the arrow keys got a lot of work out and could be shiny.

Black AND white are NOT cheaper than round 2! ONLY white is!

You've got "Dolch Madness". It's very similar to "Space Madness" except the fixation is on Dolch.

I am not saying anything about the price difference for white and black.  I am pointing out that he didn't mention anything about Dolch, but you brought it up.

You made it sound like there was a Dolch group buy before and it is more expensive this time for Dolch that last time, which is not true, because there was no last time for Dolch.  Your comment "Dolch is more than..." is totally irrelevant.

I don't have a "Dolch Madness."  If I have a "Dolch Madness," I also have a "SSK Madness," "Realforce 87U Madness," "IBM Model M Madness," and 'Cherry Dye Sub and Dye Sub RGB Madness."  What I have is called "keyboard Madness", just like everyone else here has.

I would argue that my statement was correct.  I said black and white, speaking of them as a unit.  Taken together, they are cheaper than round 2.

Dolchbag?

I still think it would be cool to have a capslock that said "DolchBag" in faux cherry font.

I just compared the current dolch moogle price to the black/white price of moogle 2. How hard is that to figure out...

I would argue that my statement was correct.  I said black and white, speaking of them as a unit.  Taken together, they are cheaper than round 2.

19 + 16 < 19 + 19

Nice comeback! Hadn't thought of that...

It makes as much sense as saying an IBM M15 keyboard is more expensive this time than a CC Jack topre last time.

Comparing a moogle to a moogle doesn't make sense? Really?

It would make sense if all 3, black, white, Dolch, all have the same price in this group buy.  They don't, because they have different number of orders and are at different price breaks.  Comparing Dolch moogle kit base set price in this group to the white or black moogle kit in the last moogle kit group buy is comparing apples and oranges.  I.e. it makes no sense.

And hashbaz didn't not compare Dolch pricing to begin with.  You brought it up for some unknown, unexplainable reason.

I compared all 3 prices in moogle 3 to the moogle 2 price of $19. It makes perfect sense... Apples and oranges would be like comparing moogle to nyancat...
