I believe it's impossible to have a perfect color match, and if can't match then it's better to make it completely different.
This is very true. I have one of the /kl SP PBT sets, which I used for several months. SP PBT is indeed pretty awesome, but the "almost" spacebar was really annoying. I eventually replaced it with one of those red ones feng got us.

Therefore, I propose a darkgreen spacebar for all sets. It'll match both the green and the beige.

Also, I will fill the form out once I know I can afford it :)

Any chance I could mod a QFR case to LOOK like wood?  That's my current plan :D

Sure.  Pretty easy.  Look here:  http://www.mnpctech.com/Wood_Laminate_Film_Simulated.html

Awesome.  Now to find the proper laminate...

This is the closest we can get to the real colors I believe, but I do not have access to the color ring. Spacebar color is to be disputed.

On a side note... I bet everyone gets what's in the ESC key, right?

These look a bit different....
the pearl.... it doesn't look as "pearly"? The green not as opaque...
I like the Esc Key, compare to the Dragon logo key, is it "GeekHack"?

For the spacebar, I m also worry about it's keyboard compatibility to keyboards,
I m using the notorious Leopold 500R series ..zzzz

SP has a 'universal' mold for space bars... Forget quite what all it's compatible with.  They just need to specify that's what spacebar they want in the set.

Unless I'm mistaken, SP's "Universal" spacebar will fit the Leopold FC200R, but NOT the FC500R. No aftermarket spacebar will fit the 500R, AFAIK.

I believe we can make this GB last a little longer, but let set it to 1 month for now.

Also, samwisekoi please update the image in the first post with the keyboard I posted few posts ago. It has better colors accuracy.
That is good. That way my wallet can survive for a little longer.  :p :p

Would like the mods, but not the full set and the price is a bit high for just that. Great work though.

am gonna sell my Leopold and get a filco or ducky so that all my keys can have a keyboard to put on.

I m trying to get some people to join me in from a Malaysia forum,

"Phone Number for Shipper *
They often require this."

It should be number for the addressee, as you'll be the shipper, and I don't know your phone number  :p

Regardless, I knew what you meant.

Oops... realise I miss-read the sentence and it does make sense as is, apologies.

This GB is too pricey for me. Besides, I do not enjoy when all keys are at the same height.

I think ducky might be using the same spacebar. You might also want to look into the QFR. I know that if you can get a few orders together, and talk with our excellent CM representative about it, they might be able to mail it directly to you internationally. Note: The QFR is TKL, though. One plus for the ducky is that you can sell the PBT off it pretty easily.

Ron, can you post updates to the OP when we hit 25,50, etc sets?

I thought this was the Skyrim set for some reason..., and that is why I always overlooked this thread.

I just rewatched the LotR again this week, and I was like "Elvish sounds familiar...".

It's even worse than you think. Because I would hope that samwisekoi and Matt3o are two of those six orders. I'm the third. Only 3 other people signed up? Didn't this pass an IC?

There seem to be fewer buyers than there were interested parties, even though the few buyers are very excited.

Me too, sort of.  Been scouring teh interwebs for a wooden case (hopefully to replace a QFR case), but can't find anything (except an old wooden case that someone had made for a Filco with a CNC router), so I might look into making something myself.  Either way, this set is amazing and people should place orders!

It seems to me that this GB is a little overambitious. The quotes are far too high (unavoidable I know) to attract your average fan who'd use them for a week and then swap out everything but the White Tree. Something like a numeral set* (1 - 0) centered with none of that %≈tree silliness would get more orders. I'm avoiding this both because of my empty pockets and all the liberties taken in transliteration. I understand you fellows have worked hard on this, and I'd like to see LotR keys, but those feet aren't touching the ground :|

we have been open to layout design for month and actually the layout is not set on stone yet. So suggestions are welcome, I am by no means an Elvish guru.

Apart from that, I did not yet sent my order. I'm waiting till the very end because I might take more than one set if that helps reaching the tier.

Oh, I won't put in for the IC until I know I can afford it. That's why I'm happy this has sort-of a longer IC period, so I can wait a bit.

This is a bad time of the year for an expensive set group buy. If you delay for February/March then more people will feel they have money and can participate. Just let it run for awhile, not like any of the current 6 are going to drop, you can only get more orders in this scenario. I want to order a set, but will not have money for it until February most likely.

Nope, We're just going to build up an order backlog, then once we have enough people to make the buy we will collect money.

Also, this will stay up longer to let volume go u-p and prices come down.
