The Reddit circlejerk over this set is pretty high, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's where it came from.

You also have to love someone coasting on the tails of a charity sale to try and inflate the price of their set.  It's shameful.

I actually thought this was referencing the charity sale but was surprised to see it was just a normal auction.

But it's true. Even over inflated prices would maybe go around $300 before the auction ended

I bought a full set for $250 shipped on MechMarket a week ago.  I didn't really want to pay more than $200 for it, but it was a complete unused set so I went for it.

That was after the guy took offers etc, I ended up being the highest offer (there were other offers higher than mine actually, but they were just blowing smoke and never paid when the time came)

My set sold for $1k, and was indeed for charity.  However, there's a set currently listed on eBay (ending in 16 hours) that's already up to $600.  For reference, the set currently available is "just" the base set + novelties, which cost ~$100 in the original buy, whereas the set I sold for $1k cost $200 in the original buy.  Looks like this current listing could shoot up at the last minute though, and end up around the same amount.

That is crazy.  I guess i should have held on to mine a little longer. I let mine go for $100 (base+novelties+scoops). 

However, it was awesome to see Hoffs set go so high for Destiny.

Remember 90% percent bidders are dealers who only care how many profit they could make from it.

Well obviously, inflating the price of a plastic keycap and having their buddies jump the price is totally "normal"

No idea. Ask MiTo? But it wouldn't be "PuLSE" to me in that profile. Matte finish and thin, unsculpted profile caps. Of course, it could also just be my bias against DSA profile I just don't like it, really.

DSA PuLSE is not the same keyset as SA PuLSE. Profile is part of a keyset design.
