My inspiration for this set came from staying mostly at home the past year because of COVID and
starting to miss the stuff I was able to do before outside under the sky.
Explanation behind the name:
The the name came from a Japanese friend of mine, Homiezoned who when I asked for help with naming it, named it Sora
because it meant "sky" in Japanese. I found it interesting because in Kanji, the same "sky" (空) character can also
mean "air or empty" in Chinese Hanzi and when combined with the character (天) in Chinese, it also means sky (天空).

Another important update regarding the set, JTK has just told us that the extra tab+backspace is
not possible for the Sunset alphas because of the way their molds are set up. We've unfortunately had
to modify the Sunset alphas kitting and remove the tab+backspace. Hopefully these are the final changes
needed.
On the bright side, we now have extra B in both base and the Sunset alphas, instead of spacebar kits.
JTK also has a new mold for the HHKB backspace, so we no longer have to use the 'xbox' one and
can use standard icon.
Other than that, we're still waiting on the pricing/moq from JTK. Bachoo has also updated kit renders
to reflect the changes.
3/10/2021 update:
Hi everyone, another update here!
Regarding group buy pricing and date- we're still waiting to hear back from JTK.
However, I'm excited to show you all some deskmats my friend bubbletea has been working on
the past few months. I know a lot of people were unhappy with the original deskmats, so hopefully
everyone will be able to enjoy a deskmat for the set, with these amazing additional two.
Zion Studios is also now a vendor for our Filipino friends, along with SwagKeys for our Korean friends.

1/23/2021 update: Looking at the feedback, people wanted more region-neutral ISO but unfortunately JTK do not have the molds.
The current ISO support will likely remain the same. JTK has also said that the planned tripleshot novelties are possible!
Kitting splitting into modular alphas and modifiers are still heavily being considered at the moment (if JTK is willing).
12/27/2020 update:
My friend dany has helped done some new renders for the set- including one for the sunset kit (which is definitely lacking renders).
More renders will be on the way after the holidays.
Reading the current feedback so far, I know some people are interested in sub-legends but I want to leave it without sub-legends for this set
especially since there are already two different alphas. I am also heavily considering switching from the
current UK-ISO support to more region-neutral ISO instead.
First update: Small updates on the wording and formatting
I apologize to everyone who was offended by the confusing wording about the explanation before for the inspiration for the set and the name.
The post has been updated with new wording, which is hopefully more clear and explains better.
I also did not account for mobile users when posting this- which resulted in weird spacing for those with smaller screens.

WS2 was chosen over WS1 for the white because I felt WS2 was more similar to clouds than WS1, since WS1 has a bit of a cream tone to it.
As for why the blue chosen was 278c, originally I wanted something more like 2717c since the color reminded me of the sky the most but the contrast would be way too low for white legends.
278c also reminded of the sky but it was a bit deeper than 2717, making the contrast better with WS2.
The color 283c was also in consideration but GMK Oni already uses that color along with the same WS2 legends.
In bright natural lighting with pictures taken from my phone so colors aren't exactly accurate
