Steelseries 6GV2 with MX black
Focus FK-6000 with Futaba clicky (Cherry MX)

Don't know which I like more. The Focus is a bit nicer for typing and Starcraft (which I don't play too much though), but much louder. The 6GV2 is a bit nicer for gaming in general and usable in the evening/night. So I end up using them both.

Funny to switch between them. The blacks feel quite 'mushy' after using the futaba's. :)

Using my Steelseries 7G (Cherry MX Blacks) at the moment,  but waiting for the HHKB Pro 2 to arrive!

This Steelseries is starting to get a bit long in the tooth for me. Key legends are fading, and I don't know if it's me not really being able to type on MX Blacks or if there is a debouncing issue, but I get key chatter on a few keys. Can't wait to move onto the HHKB Pro 2.

LOL. Yeah.

How are you adjusting to the matrix layout?

For typing alone, I'm doing good, I'm still undecided on my layout for mods though (Ctrl and Alt mainly)

Yeah, I don't see an obvious place for those keys on the ergodox.

How long would you say that it took you to get back up to say... 80% of your previous speed?

Currently using a Razer Blackwidow TE.

I know it's not great, or even good. I just didn't have a lot of knowledge when I first bought it, but having said that, I am pleased with it. At least it's not a rubber dome pos.

That said, I'll hopefully have my hands on a Filco and a Poker by the end of the year  :thumb:

I am actually more than pleased with my blackwidow, in fact it's one of my favorite keyboards. It too was my first, but it has stood the test of time. It is so solidly built in comparison with my other acquisitions, that I can only guess that much of the criticism is due to ignorance or elitism. My Das Ultimate pales in comparison. The blackwidow is THE tank (with absolutely no annoying spacebar noise) and the typing feel of the cherry blues is amazing.

The only criticism is that it is hella loud - louder than buckling springs (Unicomp) even! I used to bottom out when I first started out and it sounded like a gattling gun meting out unmitigated fury on my pitiful neighbours. I now type much better and have installed the grey (firm) soft landing pads from Elitekeyboards so now I can use it in the room adjoining my parents.

Right now, I'm currently using Ducky DK9008 Shine II White LED Backlit (MX Brown).

I want something smaller size, so I'm ordering one like yours on MK.com just few minutes ago.

I have not been able to find anything more quiet, less key travel and ergonomic (very little for my taste, just a little curve) keyboards than membrane type, and cheapest (of course). My all day user is the Microsoft Arc: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/arc-keyboard/J5D-00001
The only drawback for me is the small arrow keys (in a single key no less) and hard to see greyed out lettering for both the black and white versions (but that's an easy fix just buy yellow large keyboard stickers $5 on EBay and done). Another pro is it's wireless.

I just switched out my DasKeyboard (Blue) for a Ducky 9008G2 with MX Green switches. I've got a QFR with DSA blanks for gaming StarCraft 2 while my fingers adjust to the weight of the greens. On the go I have a Poker II with Browns.

This was my "desk" when working yesterday.

Just got my Leopold FC660C with Topre switches, and so I have made it today's daily driver for testing. This is a GREAT keyboard. However, it needs a source of high-quality dye-sub PBT keycaps of comparable quality to those on the HHKB Pro 2 or RF 87u. Until then, I will probably revert to my IBM SSK.

This baby is a great travel keyboard. Nice keys with good travel (around 3 mm). Snappy, almost clicky. And it's really comfy and looks great. Currently it's my computer bag keyboard. I switched to it from my Cherry G84, just because being wireless is so much more convenient.

I've got a Model M on the primary computer along with my MX ghetto-greens gamepad, the other computer has a ghetto-greens Pure.   There's another Model M tucked on top of the mediaserver in the closet, but I don't really have to type on that much.  I'm required to use a Dell SK3205 on the desktop at work, but on the second work machine I have a Race.  The ErgoDox is about 75% assembled... then I'm not sure where it's going to go...

Very satisfied but let be clear about one thing : for me Topre > *  ;)  But the 45g for gaming is just meh. I will sell it soon I guess and hunt for a 10th Anniv. Ed. in 55g when I'll be in Japan, hopefully in 2014 max. That hunt will concern a HHKB too I think... I want all the Topre. -_-

The KC is very good for me because I really like the layout, I wanted to REALLY try MX Black, and so I bought one. It was the same for the 600M in MX Clear : I was tired of "wondering" and just bought one.

Thanks for clarifying things a bit. So, if I understand correctly, you do like the FC660C with 45-gram Topre switches, but you do not particularly like your RF TKL with 45-gram Topre switches. You said you would like to get a HHKB Pro 2, but I suppose you realize that it comes only with 45-gram Topre switches. And you would like to get a 10th anniversary RF TKL with 55-gram Topre switches. I guess that the feel of Topre switches varies among different kinds of keyboards.

I wish I could try both a 45-gram and 55-gram RF 87U. I anticipate that I would prefer the 45-gram, but I could not know for certain without actually trying both switch weights.
