It this could use a swiss cheese pcb like the soldered dz60t that would be amazing, and the plate should have support for more layouts so it too looks like swiss cheese.
Was the original idea, dz60 compat. Hand to abandon it for several reasons :(

No it's not the final color, I like the color and it might be, but it's not confirmed.
All the holes have a small bevel so they will not be extremely sharp, however it might not be verry comfortable on the pointy parts!

It's not a saturated as my renders, however it is a bit vibrant I guess? I recommend looking at it on different screens so you can get an idea! ;D

Looks great, but would prefer a bit more saturated 'cartoony' yellow like the earlier renders. Still interested either way!

That being said, this is also both hilarious and creative and I really fw it, looking forward to seeing a POM proto :thumb:

Sorry, This should be removed from the form all together! The pcb is done and likely wont get any more changes unless theres a huge amount of backlash! It'll be hotswap for newer users and since another layout really isn't needed in my eyes!

i find it rather ironic that a case called swiss and being a slice of cheese does not support the ISO layout used in switzerland and france... or pretty much anywhere in the world... (and to some of the American that forgot, only the US uses the ANSI layout pretty much... and no switzerland is not part of the US)
It's an hhkb layout, ISO is possible but looks weird, and makes the plate weird. If enough people want ISO, which isn't many currently, I might look into making an ISO version. This would mean 2 different plates and either 2 hotswap pcbs, or 1 non hotswap pcb complicating things.

Bad News:Ah damn that's a shame. I'd be interested in a board made out of POM, but yellow dyed polycarb might lend to an interesting look.
The reason POM hasn't been the topic as of late is due to original custom colored POM Supplier backing out and all other POM suppliers contacted either had unreachable MOQs (I would need to sell 500 POM Boards or more) or were too busy and had lead times which would delay it to 2021. Due to these unforeseen circumstances I sadly have to announce the POM board will be CANCELLED. The aluminium version is still going smoothly and will be made, although no confirmed timeline. I am exploring other options, one being yellow dyed poly carbonate. I will create some renders to show everyone soon.

GB date is currently not possible to speculate due to having to get protos first. All your other questions are answered in the IC

UPDATE
I finally got the PCB and was able to build the Proto. It looks fantastic and just how I want it to be, however I'm very unhappy with the sound. For this reason I am redesigning the Case and filling up the inside to make it less hollow and remove the metallic noise currently present. I also am removing the center mounting points reducing it from a total of 8 to a total of 4, making for a more bouncy typing experience. If you dislike this, keep in mind a brass plate will be available. These changes will then require a 3rd proto to be made! Until then enjoy these pics and join my discord to have to most up to date info!

Hey, Long time to see. Quick update to show that I'm still working on things and haven't abandoned this project:
I got new quotes with the factory and they became significantly more expensive, the original quotes were very weirdly cheap...

No Brass won with 32%, 43% voted for they don't care meaning it ended up being close, I chose to end up doing no brass as the price with brass would've gone well over 420 Euros sale price. This way we should be able to keep it under 350 Euros, assuming there won't be a huge rise in material costs. I had the board redesigned and got an estimate and am ordering the hopefully final prototype! Will follow up with renders soon!

I hope you do like a matte cerakote yellow for it to simulate cheese. Shiny anodizing would take away from the cartoonish feeling of it which I think gives it character.
