I'm working on my dream keyboard, with Cherry/TTC low profile switch.
What do you think about it?

Assuming you've found solar panels in that size, only plan on using it during daylight (or have confirmed indoor lighting is strong enough to power your chosen chip) and have found keycaps that fit the layout in the right profile it looks sound, if not now would be a good time to think about these things :)

Also what ase you planning for the case?

Solar panel is used to charge the battery, this keyboard work fine with this setup: https://www.xudongz.com/blog/2020/ergoblue/

I plan on using MDA Big Bone keycaps and 3D printed case for testing.

Great, low profile didn't sound like you'd be hiding a battery in there but it is a good idea.

Looking forward to seeing what it looks like :thumb:

i never tough that one of those tiny cell could ever provide enough power for anything outside of very niche and simple things, like garden lights, powering cpu and bluetooth from those seems out of this world to me

solar panels have come a long way. a lot more efficient, and a lot more output (better voltages)

even if the solar was not strictly for charging, a battery is a good idea as a buffer/regulator/backup for the power the cells put out.
here's a long video about an R/C plane and he does a good job describing what's going on with the solar cells, battery, etc. saw this a while ago and thought it was a really good example of the possibilities of solar.
