Geez, I really want this. I've been looking for an SSK for quite a while, but it's always stupid expensive.

For a second, I thought this was a troll, like the $15 topre board.

But its actually legit. Too bad in 7 days the price will start to skyrocket

Yep. It's already at $26.

There goes my chances.

You were right first time - putting unfinished auction prices in thread titles is always annoying.

I have seen them go fro around US$200.  If you are patient you can get one cheaper.  Sales from GH member to GH member are usualy cheaper.

$63.03 shipping.

And already $102.50 with just under a week to go.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

it was me. I put down a starting bid of $50 just for kicks.

This one has the wordperfect keycaps (and backspace) so I expect it to go for more

I don't think unicomp makes SSK feet, though they might still have some backstock.

Looks like you can get one made, even if the unicomp option is out. I don't use the small model M feet, but I guess some here might.

am not even bothering to look at this auction. It isn't going to be affordable after the last 60 seconds on the last day, so why bother?

I won one the other week that I posted. Really happy with it and the seller was very good at communicating. I mentioned a small invent in the bottom of the space bar and he offered to buy a new one for me ; declined as I didn't really mind.
