It has been done. The
Corne DC keyboard fits both Kailh Choc V1 and Choc V2, in Kailh Choc hot-swap sockets.
Here's a picture of the PCB.
That keyboard had been designed with custom component footprints that support both types of switches.
A Choc V2 switch will not fit in a keyboard that has been designed for Choc V1 exclusively, or vice versa.
The keyboard must have been especially designed to fit
both.
Also, Cherry MX Low Profile, or TTC low profile switches will not fit in this keyboard: only Choc V1 and Choc V2. Cherry's and TTC's low-profile switches have centre posts that are too wide and pins in different places.
It would be possible to make a footprint for
soldering switches that would fit all four types though,
as you can see in this diagram.
