Hey guys, my hobby is painting artisan keycaps and I'd like to present my latest collection for your consideration. I usually sell them on eBay but would like to try selling direct on Geekhack instead.
These caps are sourced from various makers. I don't sculpt caps myself, merely paint them. I use acrylic paints and varnish all my caps to protect them. Nylon caps are also are polished by hand with fine grain sandpaper to ensure they are smooth to the touch.
I accept commissions to paint your artisan keycaps in whatever color schemes take your fancy. Prices are mostly dependent on the amount of time I invest, and to a small extent the complexity of the cap itself.
"Base" paintjobs like the rubix cube depicted here, or the Luffy skull & crossbones or Xbox Controller, without any color blending, I charge US$20 + return shipping.
"Showcase" paintjobs like the arcade stick, cthulhu, topre skull, or mario plant, with fancy color blending, precisely mixed hues, and generally a lot more thought put into the end result, I charge $40 + return shipping.
Freehand painted artwork as shown on the flat 'cherry' & moon caps and the front of the tentacle cap is a separate matter because the time required will vary depending on the design, affecting how much research I'll need to do and the amount of planning & practice sketches required. I am very happy to take your requests and offer you a quote, but please be aware my drawing skills aren't top notch and there's a steep limit to the amount of detail I can cram into such a tiny area.

Shipping costs from here in Australia are around US$10 to America, $12 to the UK and $5 locally. I'm happy to combine shipping cost for an unlimited number of caps at once. Tracking numbers cost extra, and there are express shipping options to choose from. My apologies for Australia Post being expensive, you can calculate the exact charge by plugging your destination country and "up to 500g" into this page, which also shows the types of postage available.

Thanks for reading, please let me know if you have any questions or feel free to send a PM if you're interested in having a keycap painted. I don't have a website up & running yet but its' on my to do list.
Here are some more photos. Please note my current camera is extremely crappy and most of these caps look much better viewed in person.

Wow dude stellar job on these! I'm a bit tapped out right now or I would be on that terminator in a heartbeat!

Great paint job!

Fantastic work, I'm sure these won't have a hard time to sell. My wallet already took a hit otherwise I would definitely get one.

You are very talented.

Many thanks for your kind words guys, it means a lot to me that you like my work. :)

Afraid I use neither Meiosis, though it would be nice to start a deviantart page at some point. At this stage I just paint keycaps and hadn't really considered doing canvases until I'm more confident in my drawing skills.

If the rubiks cube is still up for grabs, ill snatch that up!

Grabbed the joystick and the Piranha plant.

It's too bad hardly any Topre, but very good job on these. A lot of nice designs and great detail.
I'm a Topre user myself esoomenona and usually do sell a higher proportion of Topre caps as I find they generally garner more interest, but for some reason my current crop is mostly Cherry. I tend to paint Tasker's caps more than those of any other maker and he's agreed to convert most of his designs into Topre versions which is very good news. I'd like to paint more buckling spring artisans as well but sadly there are so few choices.
If there's a specific Topre artisan you'd like me to paint please consider my commission painting service.

will there be topre version of the Hannya Mask (P)? if yes count me in

Tasker does sell a Topre Hannya in his Shapeways store luminor!

I think he also takes requests if you are looking to have a specific type of artisan keycap designed, but you would have to ask him about that. I'm more than happy to paint any of his keycaps for you, please consult my OP for prices and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Four caps now sold, many more are still available.
-
Prices on some remaining keycaps have been lowered.

I love the Rubiks! If you do another one, get a cube and scramble it so it is a solvable pattern. It's not possible to have 2 white centers. :p

Thanks for the feedback MrRooks I'll take that into account for the next one I paint. :)

Quite a few of the caps are still available guys if you're interested.

Is your OP up to date regarding availability?
