I don't know why this is here. But I want to make some comments.

I am not sure if what you call "pad printed" is actually pad printed.

I have a Filco numpad and the keys seems to be laser printed. I don't think the keys on my Filco numpad are pad printed because I see signs of laser burn marks. (it seems low res laser printer was used to print the key caps)  See pics and more here

Mark with uv lasers

A low fluence level is used to change the color of common whitening pigments, such as TiO2, in the plastic. This change takes place without removing material or changing the part’s surface quality.

Moreover the Cherry lasered POM may be using the same technique (only using high res laser gun, i.e. I don't see the same dots I see on my Filco numpad on my Cherry black POM keys.)
