For international, if you are good with paying the $30-35 shipping price then by all means.

Is the bottom pair gray in that picture? I'm only asking so I am 100% sure I don't get dark gray when I would like light gray. And I don't want silver that's very shiny.

I'm also looking for an example of the color difference. Shiny silver is not something I would be down with but a light gray silver would be cool.

You don't need a teensy. Controller and all other SMD parts come presoldered.

Make sure you use PCB mount stabs with straight spacebar wire. The bent ones have a clearance issue with the plate.

New here. Just bought an rs 84 with gateron blacks (assembled by someone else from previous group buy) and am trying to determine what keycap set to purchase. Can anyone point me in the right direction? It seems that any std base + mod DSA set from signature plastics with two additional 1.5u should cover it. Is that correct? Anything else I should be aware off? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
I would reccomend the Gateron keycap sets. It has everything you would need for these in any possible layout build.

dang, i should have bought a plate to see if it will fit my redscarf, these pcbs are like jelly and going plateless on them causes massive flex in the case.

Why's that? Risk of overpromising? Giving out info that you probably shouldn't be giving out? Or is this a sarcastic comment that I didn't get?
Also note that Ivan hurt his arm in an accident a while ago and has been dealing with that. Since he's running a few buys right now I expect everything to be delayed.
That said, I'm quite glad Ivan is a trustworthy member.

I guess some of the new people don't know ivans good history, but if it matters he stated in one of his other threads that he broke his hand, so i'm sure he's dealing with that right now.
But don't worry, I have several perfect orders from ivan, and once he knows, he post, and his shipping is always top. He's one of the few GB people I have no issues giving tons of money to.
If anybody has direct contact with Ivan it would be great if you reached out to him to see what's going on with him.
He hasn't been logged in to his account since 14 September and he isn't replying to private messages, so even if Jixr is completely confident that nothing is wrong, experience dictates that when people disappear like this there is something wrong.
Hopefully Ivan is doing well, but I think it's time for people to hear that he's alive at least.
Keep in mind this isn't the only buy he is running at the moment.
I am primarily asking because I need to change my address before November. Secondarily I'm actually worried that Ivan is out of commission because of something worse than his BMX injury.

As an aside, about a week after RS84 was supposedly closed, I noticed the GB form was still open. I submitted it, I got an invoice in a couple of days, then the form was closed when I checked again a few days later. Shortly afterwards he posted about his accident. So even if he didn't post about it, things were most likely moving forward.
That's not to excuse the incommunicado, but to hopefully shed some light on his activity towards the end of the GB. Not sure how much it helps.
OK. For the people wondering. It seems like Ivan at least is checking his email/paypal because he pretty much instantly refunded me even though I only asked for an address change.

For anyone confused, this is the designer of the RS keyboards, and seller DA DA DA on Taobao.
Not a part of this GB, but if the guy who designs and producers the RS is coming in here saying that he never received payment and thus never started production, I don't think you need the person who is more than likely lying to come in here to tell you that he is not, in fact, lying...

So do people that are actually participating in this buy have any form of recourse? I have sent a Paypal dispute, but the dispute does not show up in the Resolution Center for my account...I believe since the transaction was back in July 2015 and was more than 180 days there might be nothing Paypal can do. Anybody have any experience in this?If you paid with a credit card or bank and not paypal balance you can call your credit card company or bank and dispute the charge directly regardless if it has been past 180 days. Some credit card companys after a 190 day period will require you to fill out some quick paper work then mail it to them, but regardless they will help you get your money back.

I reached out to Ivan last night when things started getting shaky (before the news was posted in the GMK buy thread), to A) verify he is alive and well and B) follow up with a direct inquiry as to the status of these three buys. I did receive an email back from him last night (I mistakenly said in the GMK buy that he had not responded, which is not true - I didn't see his response at the time) and he said all is fine but he is not active much (I had not asked about the buys at this point). I have responded asking very pointedly for an update re: lack of orders placed. No word yet, but I will update as I can.

He was also running the PBT Dark GB which apparently he has the sets but he's not paid the supplier.

Even though it is outside of the 180 day dispute period if enough people come forward they can investigate Ivan and take action against him

Ive given it some thought and decided that I would like to volunteer to be the middle man to get the 10 kits he has offered raffled out. As this is a VERY generous offer on his part and im not one to sleep on things like this especially with so much money involved and the tension with the whole Ivan thing (and me getting ripped off too!).Now need to determine the total number of personnel losses.
I am willing to temporarily absorb shipping costs from him (china) to me in Colorado then distribute them to the winners. Winners will still have to pay 1/10 of the china freight and then shipping to them. But hey, at least this is happening at all! :thumb:

So that we can verify that you were a legit participant in the original group buy. I personally don't have time to run a group buy. I mean shipping 10 boxes is fine as i have access to packing material so this wont end up costing me anything. But I'm not really into shipping more then that, collecting money etc.
How about I add a form entry for "Would you rather have a raffle or a discounted GB." And if we get enough votes then ogranize as i assume he wants to provide discounts to the victims only rather than giving tons of new orders a free ride. I think having the information from the victims about what was lost exactly is beneficial also in multiple ways. I'll be home in a few hours to post the finished form.
Or we just do things like how elton did for duck groupbuys where he just collects the funds for duck and he ships them from Korea?

I believe his attempt at submitting a mass complaint with everybody's details to Paypal was unsuccessful. I think the only recourse left would be the local authorities or maybe the IRS, and I think since swimmingbird isn't in the US there's not much he can do on those fronts.

Ill tell you right now, there is only 1 vote for the discounted buy. 99% of the votes are for the raffle.
In all reality, having another group buy will drag this on for months and months, as I am not the person that will be running the GB. Pricing/logistics/shipping/discounts/finding a GB leader will all be a pain in the ass.
Feel free to email him and ask though. His email is up a few posts.

Welp guys, Im beginning to lose hope for this. He has not replied to my last 3 emails, it appears we are getting ignored. I put in a lot of time to round up all the info to submit to him only to get ignored.
