122key 1397000 USB woes
« on: Wed, 19 April 2023, 16:29:09 »
Hey there, I have an old IBM 1397000 terminal emulator board that I recently pulled out of storage that I've been trying to get it to work on my windows machine.
My previous build's motherboard had a PS/2 port, and with some old 122 dlls I had managed back then to get all f-13 to f-24 keys and the sidebar keys outputting scancodes, which I then rebound using ahk/swiftkey.

Now, however, my new rig has no PS/2, and while the usb converter I have seems to work... Not the top row or sidebar. It only does only up to f12, and maybe a few other keys smattering here or there. They seem to output no scancodes at all when pressed. Is this a problem with the converter? Or something else? I'm kinda stumped on how to proceed.

Any help would be appreciated!

This info makes it seem like you'll need Soarer's Convertor.

I'd like to report  the PS/2 Soarer's converter I bought from orihalcon on ebay worked a treat.

I was able to remap all extra keys with the help of the included documentation in the 1.10 software, utilizing scaswr.bat

Thank you for your help!
