Do you mean "know" as in "have any experience with"?  These vandal-resistant keyboards are commonly used on public phone-booths that have internet access or in-store terminals that allow customers to browse products.  They're horrible to use but serve their purpose.  Key function is like a tactile switch, in other words the kind of sudden movement you get with mouse-button switches and many electronic devices like TV/Hi-fi etc.  They look pretty cool I suppose.

It appears that the keys would be too far apart to comfortably use on a regular basis.  Although, that may just be an optical illusion as the keys are only the surface you press.  Looking at a normal 'board, the surfaces are somewhat far apart, as well.  It's the sloping sides of the keys that seem to make them look closer together.
