If shipping wasn't so expensive to GER, I would buy one... and destroy it with a big sledgehammer.

Beautiful SSK.  Those Checkeys are to die for too. ^-^

I agree with Rowdy, the function keys are interesting in colour. Also, the R-Ctrl enter key is pretty unique!

NICE keycap set!!  Are those all one piece or two piece caps??   I've always preferred the earlier SSKs since I like the one piece units.   They just have a slightly nicer feel imho.   Even though others disagree.

These came with the board. I think some use other Model Ms for keycaps, some can be ordered through Unicomp I think.

That would be so amazing if true...

These are 2-piece. I have yet to try a one-piece keycap IBM board. If there is a Displaywriter SSK with these same caps in one-piece it is worth a fortune...

It's in basically new condition! Original owner said he bought it new as old stock in 2009 and barely used it. The packaging and cable are both in almost new condition as well! :D

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
