Hey everyone!
I'm happy to bring you the 3rd installment of my element keyset series, GMK Red Dragon.
Just as dragons are mythical creatures born of fire, so is this keyset!
I hope you enjoy the dark red modifiers, with the legends appearing as bright embers
amongst the dark ashy grey alphas.

I absolutely love this colorway! I'm kinda new to this hobby so excuse me if this question is stupid, but why does the base set include so many keys, the Numpad for example? Is that normal?
I'm planning on building a 65% board in the future and I would literally need less than half of the keys included in the base set.

It's because of GMK pricing on kitting, the more keys in base, the cheaper and easier for buyer imo.

From the renders, it looks like the space bars in the Zhuyin kit are red (like the modifiers) and the space bars in the Base kit are not. Is that correct? Kind of a bummer. I want the red space bars but for the Base kit.

Any updates regarding the samples? Also, curious if the target shipment date is still Q3 of 2021, or has this been pushed back slightly?

No worries if there's a few delays with the pandemic still on-going, just looking to receive some form of an update to know things are progressing still either as planned or if there's a new expected date/timeline. Can't wait to see how these come out!

They have different traits, a black dragon is wise and old while the red dragon is powerful and associated with happiness.

It is incredibly unlikely this is in end user hands this calendar year. Sets from March (Apollo) are leaving GMK now and I expect them in my hands here in the USA in a month, sets from August 2020 (Minimal r2) are already projected to January 2022. Q1 2022 is still under 18 months from GB close, which most but not all sets are approaching but not passing.

Checking back here, have there been any updates behind the scenes, or are we still waiting on the new color matching samples to arrive from GMK &/or be accurate to proceed as per the January 2022 update on CanonKeys (see below)?

That's entirely normal in certain light for black plastics to have a particular hue. I think it looks great and I think judging a set on a bad camera in bad lighting not white balanced is a waste of time. It's proven time and time again that the first photos coming out never match reality.

I joined the hobby when all the GMK Mizus were gone and was mm royalty and legit thought Rensuya was one of the BIG designers. I think Terra did ok. But everything else he did kinda just sucked. CK retro mizu was kinda a joke. There was the whole PnC thing. And then Moomin just very recently and the backpeddling handling that. And now Red Dragon... just disappointing...

GMK Punktarbeit a coupla April Fools’ ago had a reference to being colormatched in Jessica’s room.

What’s funny is that neither the render nor that picture look like GMK Necro, which actually kinda does capture the green color corpses get after a while. I like how it came out but def wasn’t as billed.

Just received my sets today and I find them absolutely gorgeous, pictures don't do it justice.
The black is a true black to me but as both the black and burgundy caps have a shine that is even stronger than GMK Red Samurai the black has a black-charcoal effect.The burgundy is less dark than on the renders but it looks really great, better than GMK Red Samurai.The lettering is really nicely bright even despite the silly (in my opinion) EU laws.I love it and I'm gonna sell my huge GMK Red Samurai set instead.

Is the base kit from cannon key supposed to come with the numpad keys? I did not get numpad keys for the kit. Is it supposed to be in a different box? The render in the original group buy has numpad keys included in basekit.
