I know this might sound bitter but I'm not buying without the old novelties.

Well, with the novelties I suppressed the Glass Elevator since I wasn't happy with it, and changed the color of the UP AND OUT for TBN…In addition I also changed the yellow W for a TBN one since I there will be "golden" Massdrop keycaps which will be raffled.

Well, with the novelties I suppressed the Glass Elevator since I wasn't happy with it, and changed the color of the UP AND OUT for TBN…In addition I also changed the yellow W for a TBN one since I there will be "golden" Massdrop keycaps which will be raffled.

I somewhat agree with the feedback on the novelties. The red/white/blue escape keys don't really complement the rest of the set. Is there a creamier white you could use? I know you're trying to steer clear of the gold because of the Massdrop raffle... What about a "nutty" brown or "caramel"? Just throwing some ideas out there...

The color should be the same white or off-white that is used for the lettering.

Also +1 on the novelties not really matching. If I were to purchase the novelties it would solely be for the "golden ticket" key. The rest I'm not sure would get used. I too would like to see a lighter colored escape key.

I'm not really sure if there is a good way of doing this, but a golden ISO enter would be amazing to have..... but ISO enter costs a lot to make

This theme should be ripe for novelties. Some items for possible inspiration:

Candy Man
Oompa Loompas
Everlasting Gobstopper
You lose! Good day sir!

I prefer the Gene Wilder version of the film but I'm sure there are plenty of take-aways from the Johnny Depp version.

Granted, the set is probably inspired more by the chocolate than by the films, but there should still be some Wonka-related stuff you can borrow.

Edit: The top hat would make a great novelty key.

Concur. Maybe a caramel or similar could be used for the Esc or Function keys. Just tossing out ideas.

Hopefully after a solid year of not being able to keep up with demand, the lost sales opportunities, and no end in sight SP will finally wake up and increase their manufacturing capacity. I know the enthusiast market isn't their biggest customer but it's getting ridiculous at this point. Something has to change. If SP doesn't step up someone else will, and that's going to hurt them.

Has anyone from Canada ordered from massdrop before im loving the look of this set but not sure if there will be duty/ other fees, if its us price or not as it shows Canadian price for shipping but doesn't state what other prices are in.
also how do i select modifiers and such is that when i click to join the drop?

Massdrop is a legitimate business so they will mark the full price on customs forms.

It's unfortunate that there are no R3 1.25u Tab or 1.75u Enter keys anywhere in this set. JD40 and JD45 users will be disappointed.
