EVE has all PCB's in hand. He should be wrapping up the anodizing. I'm out of town and so is Photoelectric but as soon as I get more information I will let you know.

Looking to buy a black, blue, or grey spot if anyone is looking to transfer. Preferably WKL, but it doesn't much matter. Let me know, thanks!

Looks pretty blue to be the Grey.

Considering the Chinese MIRA GB offered that color, it could be another of Ninja's protos. It could also just be one of the Chinese ones for reference.

That could be it as well. I was just thinking it might be just that the color balance is off

I think it looks different from this color that wasn’t available for this GB.

It seems a lot more like dark blue rather than dark “aqua” seen in the photos above. If there is anyway, I’d love to switch my all black case for the color used on the one found in my previous post.

The color balance on this picture is horrible - similar to my pictures. I can't tell you what color it is but I do have one with the colors of the Chinese GB and that might be it.

EVE checks before anodizing and after anodizing. I've seen him reanodize several in the Chinese GB because he wasn't happy with the result.

I have the CAD files in hand. I have to review them, make a decision on two elements, and then I'll do the interest check.

it's worth noting that it's national day (that's the real name of the holiday) in china next week

i think it's also harvest festival, so it's even more extended than normal

holiday is october 1-8, iirc

just thought it was worth mentioning because of how close we are to the end of this

I've already contacted ninjadoc and Photoelectric, but I'm posting as Photoelectric is out of the country and doesn't currently have computer access (until Oct. 3).

If interested, please PM ninjadoc or Photoelectric as well, thanks!

I don't think it's been confirmed, but given the difficulties and delays from this one, a second round would surprise me.

Plus, I don't think the same demand is there.

I feel like I recall Ninja saying he wasn't planning on running Round 2. He mostly picked this up, because the original IC had fallen apart, and he wanted to bring it to fruition, but I don't think he was planning on Round 2.

Will inquire!

What do you mean? The Leeku A87 PCB for Alps switches is supposed to be compatibe with this one and the only thing missing is a proper plate for it. Ninja said that he'll eventually offer plate for Alps after (?) shipping started.

I would be interested in an R2 :) Sort of waited this one out to see what was happening with the Alps option.
What do you mean? The Leeku A87 PCB for Alps switches is supposed to be compatibe with this one and the only thing missing is a proper plate for it. Ninja said that he'll eventually offer plate for Alps after (?) shipping started.

that's not immediately obvious if you don't read the thread
That's certainly true. Apart from the fact that if he used the search engine, he'd have probably found ninjadoc's statement, it's not obvious. That's true.

To conclude: you could either wait and see if Ninjadoc is going to offer Alps plate for GB participants only or if you manage to get a spot!

I will offer an alps plate.
Leeku's alps board fits.
winkeyless's A87/B87 PCB does not fit
The NERD does fit

Round 2---I don't know.
I have a keypad designed, a mini in planning, possibly a 65%.
1800 or full size - don't know.

Currently I/we have found a US machine shop that would produce the keyboard at a reasonable price. Anodizing has also been looked at.
a US PCB utilizing TMK has been discussed - unfortunately designing that is beyond my capabilities.

The original OTD boards were designed for particular switches - linear or tactile. This has been discussed on KBDlab and their appears to be a debate on exactly what the design difference is. Obviously it is multi-factorial and I have some ideas on design differences.

As Puddsy mentioned there is a holiday in china. I've been asking for a while and have received no updates on Mira production.

Hopefully that answers most questions.

No way! Mini being the 65%? Or 60%? (Red HHKB Mira pls?) Hyped regardless!

Do you know how tall the Mira is on the front? I was just curious!

Edit: Is the steel/aluminum/brass spacer for the Mira still happening? As well as those amazing brass/Poly plates? :)

Id totally go for a 60% or 65%, the TGR-910 really open my eyes to the possibility of how good 65%s can be.
