I'll be interested to see how well that works. I know others reported that their 3D printed versions didn't last long.

Hmm, they are not working that great like what I imagined. Probably the rough surface is ruining it.

I can't say much about the durability just yet. It feels weird to push the switch down on it, as at the same time the switch top is trying to open upwards. Maybe just that I'm not having that much confidence on the switch top from not breaking the "leg" while doing that.

Going back the old ways, except if someone make something like the beast tool in aluminum or ssteel.

I got a bag with a bunch of labels that clearly used to be on a box. The shipping shows it arrived at LAX and weighted 4.8kg so it looks like the board is in the US.

Holy **** man. You need to go all out with USPS. I am hoping you have a cooperative seller who can help you with giving USPS the proper value of the item. I received that bag once from an artisan trade (rip 2 bro bots), and repeatedly called/emailed USPS but never got through to someone who would actually help me. Hopefully it is easier for you as you are american though.

USPS will only pay for the actual price, not the estimated price it was worth or it is valued at, AFAIK

That is true for any insured product. But yeah, you are going to need to make sure you can verify the actual value in a way that USPS agrees with. Not sure how that works for products that aren't sold easily (such as on a website).

So there's a clause in the USPS claims language for collectibles (DMM 609 4.1.o):

Quote
For collectible items, a sales receipt, paid invoice or bill of sale, or statement of value from a reputable dealer(i.e., a licensed business owner who is qualified to estimate value or cost of repairs for the item) must be provided as described in 3.2a..

I have no idea if there even exists a "reputable dealer" who could verify the worth of a custom keyboard, or if they'd accept a keyboard as a collectible.

Man do I wish I was joking! I've filed a claim and asked the seller to do the same so we'll see where that gets me. From the packing info it looks like the board made it to LAX in one piece but from there I don't have any info. Depending on how this plays out it could change the way I act towards this hobby a ton.

The board made it to LAX and went "missing" once it got here!?

Some mail worker is probably typing on it as we speak!

Some gateron blanks the quality was ....ok...good thickness all 3 spacebars have a decent amount of warping I haven't got a chance to feel but a few keys and they sounded nice but I'm a little worried to see if the spacebars fit. I will review them thoroughly over the next couple days.

A GMK Cyrillic set the colors looked nice and bright however I'm a little worried about the partial pad printed legends. They supposedly have a hard UV coating to protect the legend from fading but only time will tell .

Some purple anodized m3 x .5 x 12mm flat head socket screws for my GON keyboard. I was very pleasantly surprised ! The screws looked very clean with nice tight tolerances and a even anodized surface. They fit perfectly and and were a little over $10 after shipping for 25 of them.

My work desktop. I hate icons and bars, so yeah it's virtually an image. Also my right monitor is portrait oriented but I had to cut off some of it because it was too large for Imgur.

I have those on my Kingsaver! And those nails are on fleek ;)

If you got the GMK cyrillic set from Originative, the UV hardcoating will last a while but it will feel sticky at first as you type on it. As it wears off the keys get smoother and feel better to type on, however it will start to fade the pad printing.

Yeah dye sub would have been nice, but its more expensive and harder to find right now. My set just started to fade after about 4 months though.

One time my local post office almost lost the IBM SSK that phosphorglow refurbed for me. I had to call them multiple time for a week before they located it. A week of agony. I know how you feel, Joey Quinn. Hang on there. Hopefully these get sorted out.

I have had my GMK set for about 4 months now.  I will say, the clear coating has gotten much more tolerable.  I can barely even notice it anymore.  However, at first it was super sticky.  I always felt like I had ice cream on my fingers, or something similar to that if it makes sense.

I thought we were friends, Sent.  :|

:|

the truth comes out

OK GH!!! I need help BAD and I mean BAD!

So my Pink 456 arrived today but all I got was the bag the box was in and a USPS we care thing. What do I do? I've never been this close to totally losing my ****.

(Attachment Link)

****, dude.  I hope you get that sorted, Joey. :(  I'm rooting for you, bro.

Damn, Sent playing a real cold game of hard to get.  :(

****, Joey. Ugh, that is awful. Hopefully USPS gets their **** together and can find that board. Because even though money is great, I know how much you wanted that 456.  :'(
Right now I want the board way more than the money. Hopefully the size of the box helps.

I know the feeling. My friend kept telling me to pick up my keyboard in Korea... Apparently keyboards aren't safe anymore :(.

Hope you find it, at least you insured it.. some international people want their stuff labeled as $30 and as a gift makes me freak out when shipping it.

My work desktop. I hate icons and bars, so yeah it's virtually an image. Also my right monitor is portrait oriented but I had to cut off some of it because it was too large for Imgur.
