Keyboard of the Month - September - Vote!
« on: Mon, 17 October 2016, 04:14:16 »
I am back from my holiday, so here is the poll for September's Keyboard of the Month competition!

The nominees this month are:

FletchINKy's Pilco

More info and a video can be found in his build thread here

Next is mike53787's modified Omnikey 101

More information and the ideas that went into this build can be found in the Alps appreciation thread

Finally we have 27's Mech27 V1

More pictures can be found in his album here

The poll will run for 7 days as always! Good luck everyone!
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Fairly easy voting this month.

Thanks for keeping this going, katushkin :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Most difficult vote I've had here in a while  :-X

DIY ergo's always have a nice spot in my heart, building something you just can't get elsewhere. And I have to give props for handwiring, no me gusta.

Modding old ALPs boards will also always be another favorite thing that everyone should do.

And a Canadian Custom, the ****.

Nice keyboard everyone  :thumb:

I voted for the pilco but I'm surprised it almost caught the mech27.

We do - you got to the final and got some votes which is more than most people can say!

I usually vote for the strange one off custom builds and this time was no different, but of the three I'd rather own and use yours :thumb:

That said - congrats 27!
