just to confirm, those of the first 57 that have stuck around so far still have our numbers reserved?

Correct - unless you've sold or traded it. Those sales have been kept up with. The numbers will be asked for on your order and if there is a discrepancy I or Frosty will PM you and ask about it.

That's great to hear! I had bought a slot from en7ropy back in August and was worried it wouldn't count for this.

Leeku TX-87 PCB's with presoldered RGB LED's will be available. I assume given there is a diffuser plate that most if not all will want these so that is all that will be ordered to make Leeku and my life simpler. Please add $5 to my previous costs of the Mira just so you have it in mind.

Plan: poll from this Friday to next Friday, GB buy to start on January 28th and run through till February 11. Billing will only begin when I know the factory is ready to begin production.

I'm on-board with not-cyan as well.  But remember that something like blue-black will just look black in most lighting that's not bright.  Unless you live under a bright halogen lamp or have your desk right next to a bright window.  Might as well get black if you want something that dark.

I like how this is open to all, but I would like to have a numbered board.  If any of the 57 are willing, I would pay quite a bit for a spot.

I'm not familiar with the blue-black color unless it is the photo ninjadoc posted two different angles of. I'm unafraid of black but would be hoping for more of a navy or traditional dark blue color.

Side question, has there been evidence of issues with non-nickel-coated brass producing some type of corrosion issues/does it look different from what a majority of the brass options offered on GH look like?

That's blue-gray (or rather grayish blue) for one of the prototypes on the photos you've seen, it's not that dark.

Raw brass will build up a patina over time but I think it actually looks quite nice. If you don't care for it, you can get some Nevr-Dull or Brasso and shine it up in minutes.

To clarify upcoming color poll options: Black, Silver, and Gray will be offered by default; the poll will be only for the two extra colors that will be offered: one shade of Blue and one shade of Pink.  You will be able to vote for those shades.

Please vote only for the colors you plan to order.  I.e. if you're going to order gray and black, then this poll is not for you.

You will be able to select up to two color options in the vote.  If you plan on ordering blue, vote for the blue you prefer to see offered.  If you plan on ordering pink, vote for the pink you prefer to see offered.  If you're planning on buying a combination of pink and blue, of course you should vote for both.

(Keep in mind that you will be able to order different color for top and bottom of the Mira case).

Pictures of the options:  http://imgur.com/a/JYOuh

Note that these are for general reference only!!!  The final result might be slightly different.  Also lighting has great effect on anodized aluminum color, for example indoor warm light vs. outdoor on a cloudy day.

There's going to be a NASA SA set. It fits with the design concepts of the Mira. :)

I was certain I was going to get grey (because space! and black is too boring to me), but now I'm not so sure. That dark blue looks awfully nice.

Is there an option to have switches added and soldered?

Basically a just add caps thing?

I don't believe there's any assembly service offered at this time (please correct me if I'm wrong).  You'd need to arrange it with someone if you don't want to solder in switches yourself.

So if you lust to have your Mira assembled, do feel free to hit me up. :)

Depends on alloy type of aluminum and also on anodizing type.  So for example hard anodizing can look quite gray--the thicker the anodized layers, the darker the gray.  There doesn't need to be any added dye to darken the finish.

My apologies. I seem to have missed that as the colors were previously unlabelled.
I imagined that's what the blue gray would have been and it indeed does look very nice. I would be happy to have either blue gray or dark blue.

Last time I saw possible colors was when ninjadoc posted this galler: https://imgur.com/a/pOa6F

I did make sure to check the one with labels before voting though! Blue-grey always had my heart.

The issue with the blue-grey is the pictures I've seen it looks anywhere from purple to battle ship grey. One is on its way to me now but it has been stuck in Hong Kong all week and just left today. I will try to get some good pictures then.
Personally I like the dark blue better but blue-grey is winning! :(

If blue-gray wins, I'll probably want to see a mockup or sample. Blue gray can mean a wide variety of things.

same. i voted for dark blue. i guess if grey-blue wins, i will probably go with black or dark grey   :/

Ninja, with all the work you are doing, I think at the very least you deserve to put a color of your choice.

I only say this because I voted for dark blue also :) :thumb:

I also went to dark blue :P I think there's enough blue-greys out there with all the other GBs that it isn't as unique anymore.

Aren't all those other buys basically fairly light gray with a blue tint?  This blue gray looks quite different, like slightly faded medium blue.
