Might be worth mentioning on this page about the GB discount and any other related details :)

What discount?

If there weren't GB reduced pricing on these, the whole thread would have to be in Zeal's vendor space, rather than the GB subforum.

Might want to update that.
Do the Zilents produce the same effect as the R9 Zealencio Silencing Clips, without needing them?

sort of?
it's hard to explain, they reduce different kinds of noise
but using both would be redundant for sure

hmm, okay. i have a real issue with bottoming out, so i eventually got clears. but switching from work to home over and over clears just feel too heavy now. my friend has the linear zeals with the silencing clips and they were amazing to type on, so im wondering which route i go as im building a new keeb pretty soon.

Just wanted to see about timeframe - i know you're usually spot on for this but i want to make sure these will show up in time for the March 3rd meetup.

Expected to arrive end of January. Will start shipping asap and finish around early Feb.
Received one of three bulk shipments on Friday. Mostly Zealios & stabilizers, been packing those over the weekend.
Half of the Zilents were shipped out Monday, expected to arrive Tuesday (tomorrow). Remaining batch should be shipped out Wednesday, delivering Thursday.

Zeal, does this include if I purchased from your website?

If you placed an order now, you'd be at the end of the queue in fulfillment, but it would still be part of R9.
if i buy silent zealios today what date will they ship ? rly hyped !
Hope you don't mind me posting this here. Made a quick simple video comparing noise. The Esc key is using a Zilent 62g while everything else is using a standard Zealios 62g. Sounds pretty similar to having a full Zealencio on the switch.
Can I swap stems from zilents into a zealio (or other switch), so I don't have to desolder all switches?
Currently about 60% done packing the GB, seems we're short a few dozen sets of transparent stabilizer housings... Wires are there, but a shortage on the plastic parts :-[
This will delay those that have purchased a transparent screw in stabilizer set. Very sorry for the inconvenience, we'll get these parts produced asap once CNY is over.
I know you guys are taking vacation, but if I ordered a couple of sets of stabs what’s the lead time for the parts that need to be made?

The manufacturer is on vacation, not us. :P
Lead time would be around mid March for the stabilizers to be produced.
How would the Zilents compare to Cherry MX Silent Reds? The MX Reds are linear I know, but curious if anyone has tried both? What are the travel distances on the Zilents?

@ZealPC
Will the R9 stabilizers be shipped prior to the R10 stabilizers or will they be shipped at the same time?
Wow, built my Exent with 67g Zilents. I have to say this is my new jam.
Zeal - I may need to buffer my screw-in stabilizers with an insulating washer on a particular board due to poor PCB design. Are there any you recommend? What size should I be looking for?
Loving the Zilents by the way. They're even better than I expected. Definitely my new favorite switch. Well done!

Howdy- I use these fiber washers and they work quite well. They are $.50 at Home Depot (if you're in the US) so I usually grab a pack or three when I'm in getting something there.

I wonder if they make clear-ish nylon washers that are thin enough to work.
Awesome suggestions. Thanks dudes. :thumb:
McMaster has these nylon washers at only 0.5mm thickness that I think would work.
https://www.mcmaster.com/#90940a411/ Edit: Polycarb, not nylon.
But I may not need them. Spamray is sending me a few nylon screws to use with my stabs. :D
Do zilents silence both the upstroke and downstroke even when the switches are mounted north-facing (upside down)? I know with the silencing clips you lose the downstroke silencing (or maybe upstroke - been a while since I tested) if the switches are flipped. I can't actually figure out how the zilents work so it's hard to guess. You may judge by the sliders design. It should be down and up.
I don’t know if this is appropriate to put this suggestion here, Zeal, but I love the Zeal60 with its in switch rgb. What I think would be cool in future versions would be if there was an option for an arrow cluster on the bottom right similar to this pic of my BananaSplit. Not sure how feasible it would be to rework the pcb, but some of us gotta have our arrows. ;)Show Image(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180322/3a589414fe24e365e7c7d8724f83bb7a.jpg)

There are limited layouts with what you can do with RGB LED PCBs. 2pin single colour LEDs are much more flexible with multiple layouts as the footprint is a lot smaller, and the LEDs can share a pad. RGB LEDs on the other hand are wider and if we tried to support 1u arrows on bottom, the light would be off center. That's why we have the Zephyr 65% for arrow key users. ;)

Zilents on the watch are 67g. For the ring it's 62/67g.

oh i see... i was watching the review of top clack on the zilents and the colors of 67g and 78g are a bit different. more pale than what is posted here.
