I found my HO Toast recently.

It was my first ever Clack.

Brought a tear to my eye.

I might need some therapy, as it's been suggested I've been scammed in a trade  :-[ ..
is this the best place to post some pics to confirm,
or is there another thread better suited?

Thanks.

Is it supposed to be red?

I really can't tell myself, will need some more clack experts to examine. It's the weekend so it'll probably be looked at more tomorrow.

I'd need better photos of the front. Back looks iffy with the sides being uneven thickness

Added couple more pics;
damn, it's hard to get decent quality with my phone -
I'll have to find something else to take the photos, if these won't do.

And yeah, it's supposed to be red.
Not sure about the name, though;
Painful Red or Revenge Red (based on this), maybe .. if it wasn't fake, that is.

See if you can get a pic of this outside or under a white light, as the flash is washing the color out a bit, which makes it tougher to identify.

The unevenness isn't really an indicator, as many other MX CC's have uneven walls.

Okay, I've taken it outside - more pics added   ;D

The interesting bit is that little mark underneath (left of the stem), which is identical to a fake one from TaoBao (as seen here).
Real deals don't seem to have that.

Yeah, the stems seem to be a dead giveaway compared to other CCs, also the small chip near the stem appears on both yours and the Taobao one, whereas CC's doesn't have that. I think you've unfortunately got a fake :(

It's unsettling to see these better fakes mixing into the trade scene. It used to be much easier to tell, like you could just glance at a K3 and know immediately it was a fake. How many people have fakes on their board right now without even knowing it?!?

yeah, it's pretty scary

if i didn't see any telltale fake signs on a photo of a clack, i usually went by how trustworthy the person was. but if that poor person has obtained a convincing fake unknowingly, we'd both be none the wiser

i've traded a clack that i received from a sale for a clack that was second-hand at least, but was from a trustworthy member. would be pretty devo if i later determined it to be a fake
