I love SA too, but ,due to the busy production schedule of SP, I don't think it's easy to make a SA keycaps now.
Maxkey is also good enough for daily use!

I'm planning to use Maxkey, a SA-like high profile which made in China.

It's hard to adapt planck with MAXKEY profile I think, unless more 1u keys add. :blank:

I really like it, although the brown might be a tad too dark compared to the rest of the colorway. It stands out a bit too much. Maybe lighten it just a bit?

Ok,I'll change to a lighter color for adapters. I have to think about what is better. a lighter brown or a darker pink?or some other colors....

Hi, Since some people don't like that deep brown color of adapters, I change it to a light blue color, it makes the whole key set looks a little bit low contrast and feminine, but looks soft in color.

How about it?

It's just a Pantone color called "Black C", In fact, it's a deep brown color.......
may be I should keep the brown tone and just make it little bit lighter.

I agree with you keeping the brown. But would like to suggest keeping Black C of original color way.
I think Blue was error and Brighter one also would lack of impact.
Hope the GB for this keyset to run ASAP.

Interesting choice to have the flamingo novelty on both the win key and the esc key, any reason why?

At first, I just put 2 1U flamingo novelties randomly there, because I saw some of the Maxkey keysets put cherry novelies  there,
I thought those cherry novelties can be replaced easily by designers request

But, today, I asked Maxkey , they told me their default Base layout always have those cherry novelties, just like this :

So I have to think about to add some novelties keys and special keys for a additional kit now.
I will revise the layout later.

Definitely really into the dark brown, i don't see the need to make the brown lighter it'll take away from the color of the legends.

I don't see any 1u mods for the second render (ALT, FN, CTRL) is that gonna be available? Either way 100% in

1u Fn, Alt, Ctrl are not available in MAXKEY, If I want to make them ,they will make these as novelties, the price will be very high. so, I'm trying to avoid new molds.

Take a look at the Maxkey SA Calm Depths group buy that just closed and is now headed for production.  That set includes 1U Fn, Alt, and Ctrl (They also have a 1U Code).  Even if they're making new molds for those, they should have them before you run this set.

Layouts update!

1, I added 2 space keys for those split spacebar keyboards.
the novelties are inspired by the 2 pics from web:

2, I changed the brown color to a lighter one, but still looks dark.
3. I will ask Maxkey whether they can make 1u FN, CTRL and ALT or not later.

Layouts update!
Show Image

1, I added 2 space keys for those split spacebar keyboards.
the novelties are inspired by the 2 pics from web:

2, I changed the brown color to a lighter one, but still looks dark.
3. I will ask Maxkey whether they can make 1u FN, CTRL and ALT or not later.

I prefer Black C of original idea but believe your choice.  :thumb:
Let's go GB soon!

P.S. I think that "Scrool lock" in the layout picture is just a typo. :)

I asked Maxkey about whether they can make 1u Fn, Ctrl, Alt or not ,they said even though Calm Depth made moulds for these keys, the moulds can not last long because of the material is week that can not use twice for another keyset.
So, if I add these keys, the price will be high, I'm afraid I can not add them to the layout.

Is there any way to have an alternative back slash in brown for those who like a little more balance in their Alphas?

No, they can't, ~`key and |\ backslash key must have the same color with alphas.....that's a mold problem.

So maybe a dark brownish colored artisan to help!

More novelties make the price even more higher, you know Maxkey's novelties are even higher than SP.

You are missing the small 0 in the base set, i mean you are supporting 96% keyboard but there is no 1u 0, hope it is a mistake.

Also, in the base kit there is a DEL and a DELETE.

Sorry I got a 1U zero missing in the render. This is the final right layout.

Not a matter but at a fast check, i still see few mistakes, Shift is 1.75 not 2.25, del and delete should be wrong as well

Maxkey told me the R2 1U DEL is right, they modified the mold recently,
but R1 1U "DELETE" is still the old mold.

and, that 225 shift was wrong, I have mend it as below.

I got some new that both "delete" keys have been modified into "DEL", so the R1 1u "DELETE" was wrong, that will be "DEL" ;)

About the color samples,
Maxkey told me that They will definitely make some color samples before the mass production,
So we don't have to worry about the color will be not accurate.

The group buy starts now, so I have to lock this thread soon.
Please go to Group buy sub forum to join our group buy , thank you!
