Good layout, not keen on the bottom piece. Will there be alternate bottom pieces or is that no longer a thing?

YES!!  :thumb:   This layout is so nice. The silver jetfire with muted is perfection.

Whats the angle of the case? Price? How many units will be available?

It’s FCFS. Better start practicing typing your shipping details.

I like the layout but I'm not a fan of the side profile though. I prefer the Blackbird side profile more.

The mixing and matching of top/bottom color is actually pretty cool.

What color-mix do you guys like?

no i think it's not good

duck's boards have been on a quality decline for the last year or so as well (really since viper/eagle v2)

and i think it doesn't look especially good

but again, it's a duck board and my opinion doesn't matter

Maybe half and half (first half FCFS, 2nd half Raffle) would make more sense.

As far as it is convenient for all of us. FCFS is always geared towards the people in North America. Best part of the purchases in the Lightsaver v3 GB were from GH members living outside USA and Canada.

The bottom piece looks like a flipped version of the previous duck bottoms. A shame the angle doesn't allow a hybrid design were you could flip it the way you preferred it.

Kin25's TX-CP is the closest example.  It doesn't have the Home/Insert/Delete keys above the arrow cluster tho... He'll have another batch at some point soon I'm sure. There's a GB thread oh GH somewhere and his website here: http://txkeyboards.com/en/keyboards/txcp-detail

There is also FC980C and fc980m (topre/mx). Not customs, but excellent keyboards.

I would think he's talking about from Octagon V2 with the pretty lackluster finishing... Viper/Eagle with people needing to buy some third party accessories (I'm not really sure about this since I didn't follow the group buy, but apparently the design didn't accommodate for something)? Throw in the very frustrating software and inconsistent PCB's for hotlite, and really the only things that keep Duck as high as it is are: 1) Reputation, 2) Aftermarket pricing (Let's be real here), 3) Unique layouts, and 4) (Hoping that the materials come out well) Good looking products.

Just my two cents.

The Eagle/Viper acrylic front piece wasn't compatible with popular screw in stabs like zeal's so a mini GB was formed to have that piece remade.

The software was pretty frustrating.. I only use it for updating keymapping only now an dude Flip to flash. It's the only reason I have Korean language pack installed on my PC... (Those Korean arrows..🤣)

I think the acrylic inserts that didn’t accommodate the screw in stabs shouldn’t count against the quality of duck boards since screw-ins had just become popular again. Plus the clearance issue was fixed on the very next Duck board. I’d say that’s actually a point in their favor.

colors
Duck boards generally have two color options, black or silver. You can mix and match the tops and bottoms so that you have a silver top with black bottom or vice versa.

Sadly, duck told me that he is not interested in designing tenkeyless keyboards at the moment.
