Help identify the profile / SP DCS?
« on: Wed, 11 December 2019, 09:04:58 »
Hello!
I have this keeb https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=102285.0
It not work, but I started use caps only, and notice that it lil not common shape.
It seems SP DCS profile, but their spec list tell that row 2 is 0.248 height
But for me it 0.3 inches (8mm) height
Is it wrong, or difference between old and new sets, or something else?
F-key row also the same with number row.
Thank you!

UPD: "This measurement is to the middle of the touch surface of the keycap"
OK))

Older DCS keycaps were made by Comptec and not SP. I believe SP bought Comptec's tooling or something like that, which is how they ended up being the makers of SA and DCS.

That definitely looks like Comptec DCS to me. Although I doubt it's doubleshot PBT as you say in your post, it's almost certainly doubleshot ABS.

That's a really nice find, enjoy the keyboard.

There are other manufacturers that have profiles almost identical to DCS, but which is not DCS. The caps on BTC 5140 for instance.

This keyboard's keycaps however, can be identified as DCS by its font.
