>$35 for a POM plate
>The black POM Alice case comes with the case, the plate, and the screws required to fasten the case.
So the $35 plate is for extra, right? Total cost for a black unit is $144 + $50 = $194, correct?

there is a plate included in the case price, however, if you want extra plates, the cost is $35. the cost of an extra PCB is $50

For 200$ I hope they end up looking better than those pictures.

you can polish the POM yourself, but I'm not going to be doing that because it's really hit or miss. POM isn't really meant to be an appearance product (when laser cut), but the sound profile is unique, which is what was the main goal with this case.
also, I don't have a good camera and my phone camera is potato. I will try to borrow a nice camera and take some better photos before the GB starts.

So just to reiterate you're charging 200$ for a board that is going to require extra work to make it look presentable. Quite the sales pitch there.

I agree that the layered square pom case kinda looks like poop, but 144$ for it really is not that steep either. Not even close, really. You are still getting more than what you are paying for imho

The goal of the case was mainly to stay affordable. I've already released the price $40 from the original $180 that I had planned. anyways, I'm going to be trying out some different methods for polishing the prototype case in the next few weeks, and I'll keep you guys posted on what works.
the pictures look ugly because I've tried too many things on it. I used a belt sander at like 300 grit, which was a big mistake, and then I did a wetsand at 1200 grit, which got rid of the velvet-y feeling of the surface, but left this matte finish on it. if you just leave it, you can only see faint marks in certain light. also, if you order white, that won't really be an issue.
hope that clear some things up. let me know if anybody has any other questions.

the screws are for determining the size, the final screws will sit flush with no bolts and are from McMasterCarr.

I was so excited until I saw the picture and realized the case is rectangular, it is kinda a dealbraker :(

sound test with unlubed gateron yellows - let me know your thoughts! imo, it sounds pretty good, considering that the switches are completely stock and all

So I’ve been thinking long and hard and I’ve decided to bring this group buy back into the interest check stage. I've been reevaluating my strategies, so stay tuned for updates. I'll be back in a little while, and I hope to deliver a very compelling product.
