I'm looking for a bag to use to store my keyboard when I'm carrying it around with me.
Please post up any ingenious ways or cases you've found that work great for storing your keyboard!
The keyboards I have are HHKB2Pro, and KBTPure. So that's about 11.6 x 4 x 1.5 in/ 29.5 x 3.8 x 10.2 cm.
-
I just carry my keyboards in my backpack. Probably not the best bag for a keyboard, but it's the most convenient for me...
Is there any particular style of bag you are looking for? Like a laptop-type bag, or a backpack, or what...?
-
I think he's talking about sleeves. If not, boost posted some pictures with his keyboards in some pimp padded briefcases. They must have been pretty expensive, though.
-
Ah, I know better than to mention Razer here, to be flamed by all :p
I got their keyboard carrying cases, seems legit in quality :)) :))
-
There is also a Noopoo one.
-
Just out of curiosity, what do these keyboard cases/bags go for? I custom manufacture using fabric...
-
elitekeyboards actually sells a case specifically for the hhkb.

I briefly looked around for a case for my poker. I found a few items that might work but I didn't want to spend the money and then have them no fit. I'll see if I can check my search history and post the ones I found.
-
A carrying case would be nice. Something not too bulky and not too expensive.

$50 seems like a lot, but then considering what some people pay for keyboards... not really.
Some of the gun cases could be good for storing multiple keyboards, they seem to have slots in them. But that's more of a protective case as opposed to a simple carrying bag.
-
Well, that depends where you are buying them :)
For the razer one on the website its around 25 USD.
While in TaoBao, I got it at um, 70 RMB.
-
The 'padded briefcase' is a poker chip case from WalMart :)
-
Yeah $50 is high probably more than I'd spend on a case that I wouldn't use very often.
Here's some of the other options I considered. I was looking for my poker which I believe has the same dimensions as the op's pure.
This would probably be the nicest if it does fit. It's for a Sony Viao P laptop which is actually smaller than the poker but the case looks like it has enough extra room to fit it.

This is a bigger bag but not huge. It should fit okay.

And I also found these. which aren't bags but should protect a keyboard if you want to carry it around. They are also the cheapest at $16.

Not going to lie razer has some nifty pockets in their bags. But fat green razer logos everywhere... screaming I am a fat geek look at mee.. dont see me??? I am herere!!!
-
Yea, true, the logos are slightly big, but still, the keyboard bags are rather hardy.
OMG you didnt see the steelseries one hahahha, the icon is the size of the bag LOL

I like the poker case. Added to my list of things to buy in the future...

Here's another option for a full sized bag.

Hahahah you are much better off getting it from TaoBao.
Here!

Cost like 70 RMB LOL. Much cheaper than from razer store hehehehe :p

I looking for a slip on sleeve, soft thick fluffy fabric, like fleece. Do you think you could manufacture one for $15 bucks?
-
These (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=34960.msg647304#msg647304) or this one (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=19430.msg371651#msg371651)?
Those are all good, but I'm looking for something just to slip on and then put in my bag rather than a dedicated carrying case.

Now we're talking! I like this. I'm going to save this one as an option. Great find!

Like a slip-on, a sleeve or something.
I used one of these before that came with my PSU, but I lost it somehow.

Lmao.. Just went to check the price of the Razer bags in Australia.. $49.. seriously, WTF? Had it been like $30, I might have got one to store my boards in.
Just found one here for those in Consus, apply code on there and it goes down to $20 before shipping https://www.shopfalcon.com/shop/gaming-gear-keyboard-quiver

Not bad. No big logos like the others and looks functional.

Here's some of my designer handbags I use to carry keyboards:
-
I actually use those for my smaller prepherials that go inside a backpack.
-
Some clothing stores give you these cloth bags now, so people see you with them in the mall. I use one of those to carry my stuff around.
-
You can probably wrap your keyboard in an old T shirt or something. I made a case for my X220 laptop out of a T shirt and it works great.
