This looks fantastic, are you reinforcing the stems by making them out of a different material? One of the stems on my RV8 broke taking it off a Cherry stab. Thankfully it is still usable and I saved the fragments, I am going to attempt a repair soon.

To answer your question: Yes, the stems are separate pieces that are much more durable than the base material. I mill out a high tolerance locating slot for the inserts to rest inside and then use a small amount of thoroughly chewed bubble gum to hold them in place. I've found hubble bubble watermelon gum chewed for 10-15 minutes works the best although I'm still trying different brands. I might end up just using super glue though

Woah I didn't realise you'd take them back after the stem being damaged I fixed mine aswell and just lived with it, what a lad!

I would love some new stem ramage space bar (orange would be amazing)

I'll try not to! Probably still will though. I doubt I'll get anywhere near as nice of contours and finish as you managed but it'll be a fun way to practice for my own designs.
