Thank you for the amazing support. We are truly humbled by the overwhelming response after the first day.
We have reviewed the orders (counted and re-counted the orders several times) from the first day. We ran out of the first 100 Kailh nutcrackers within the first 5 hours, and 300 MX nutcrackers within the first 13 hours after the GB opened. Thank you for all your support!
Some of you have requested for a check list of your orders and many of you want to know whether your order is part of Batch 1 or Batch 2. Our operating principle is that we will do our best to get the Nutcrackers to you as soon as possible, and in as fair a way as possible. We want to serve those who submitted their orders and made payment within the timeframe first. This means that the nutcrackers from those who put an order, but do not make payment by the deadline, will go to the next order. We hope that this is fair.
We have the orders in the check list, and the batch 1 / batch 2 will be updated and released after we have received and processed all payments. (This is so that we can reflect all changes, should there be buyers who ordered, but later changed their mind and did not pay, etc.)
In our review, we also notice that there are buyers who are within the first 300 for the MX, but are beyond the first 100 for the Kailh. After careful consideration, we feel that it would be fairest to reserve the MX for you, and once the Kailh nutcrackers are available, we will ship your order out> we will try our best to get these to you as soon as possible (we will label these as “Batch 2 priority”, as the Kailh nutcrackers will be Batch 2).

- What's this batch 1 & batch 2 thing? We posted about the first 400, read about it here. (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=98204.msg2683130#msg2683130) We will produce/process all order placed during the GB, including those after the first 400.
- When will i find out whether i'm in batch 1 or 2? We'll indicate this in the check list after we process all payments.
- Why are there some that are further down the list, not issued an invoice, but are marked as paid? We are updating this here because we want to be transparent about it. We are based in Singapore do accept local bank payments. Some buyers have already transferred us the payment, and marking it on the check list is a show of confirmation that we have received it on our end. This does NOT mean that they will get the nutcracker first. As mentioned in the "update to check list" blurb (please read it), we will honour those that ordered and settled payment, in sequence of the order form.

fyi, it's not just kailh box switches that has the clamp style tops. most of the newer revisions of kailh switches have those clamp style tops, that includes the pro switches on their line of products.

btw, i'm not into lubing switches yet. I want this to change the housing of switches. The clear tops are too noisy. I like the sound of the black tops more. That's why I want one! :)

Prices include shipping to a list of 39 countries. U will. See this list in the GB form (newly added feature).
If the country is not in the list, u can select #40. I'd suggest that you PM Louis here. He'll need to look up shipping for countries outside of the list.
I think it best you submit an order form first and then get in touch with him to work out the shipping charges (to countries not on the list).

A quick update:
I've counted all the orders for MX and Kailh nutcrackers, but want to count again to make sure it is 100% correct. I will update the checklist and comment again so you know to go and take a look.
An order has been put in for all the extra nutcrackers (beyond 400).

Before the GB began, we started production of 300 mx and 100 kailh nutcracker. But shortly after GB opened all these were ordered (within first 13 hours).
So we prepared Batch 2 for more ppl come and join this GB, because modify switches is quite interesting works, especially for myself too :)
If your row # in the checklist is 205 and before, you are in Batch 1!
If you are row#206-293, and you only ordered you only order MX, you are also in batch 1.
Kailh batch 1 ends at row# 205.
If you are in 206-293 and you also ordered kailh nutcracker, no worry, we will give you priority and ship out your order as soon as the Kailh nutcrackers are available. These will be called batch 2 priority.

Firstly, a big thanks to everyone for supporting the Nutcracker GB. For batch 1 nutcracker, we had finished all the production and QC.
The original shipping timeline is to start from 15th Dec, but I wanted to include something extra along with the nutcracker to show my appreciation for your support :p!

We will ship batch 1 and batch 2 orders first, make sure they all received their orders. Then i can sell all the extra pieces(back up for defects nutcracker).
Be fair to all the existing buyers and find the most comfortable ways for everyone, i know many ppl missed the GB.

I just got both of my nuts. Very happy with them, thank you! I'm not sure if it's just me, but the TianYue Lab case they come in (which I should add was a very nice touch) smells as if it's toxic. I can't describe the smell other than to say that when I smell it, I fear it might cause cancer. That is, of course a hyperbole, but the smell is unbearable.Likewise, two nuts smelling funny.
Oh well, they are still useful...right?

Hi batch 2 priority and batch 2 we haven’t ship much yet, the blue color nutcracker has color difference for top and bottom parts, so we asked factory to redo that batch, it should finish between 18th to 20th Jan.Which version of the Nutcracker's are shipping?. Got mine (USA, Oregon). Agree the case smelled horrible (tossed it) but the nutcracker itself is fine. Definitely works well for getting the tops off switches, though I notice the bottom housing of the switch gets stuck in the nutcracker and can be quite hard to extricate. Overall certainly faster than my switch top remover from mechanicalkeyboards.com, but I sort of wish the longer teeth that hold the bottom housing were a tiny bit shorter and not quite as tight. (FYI I'm currently using this with Zilents and Healios, so it's possibly not a problem with other switches.)Hi, good to hear that! I have come up with a possible improvement. The bottom can sit a bit tight. How about a button on the bottom that you would press to push the switch out.Definitely!
Maybe that button could be a simple carriage bolt, with spring, washer and nut. The insides may need to be modified a bit though.

Tried forcing it in, no success, and at the point where I suspected it'd actually cause damage to the plastic. Perhaps it'd have worked if I had tried with even more force, but metal-on-plastic action is a bit too violent. I'd prefer to keep the housings intact and not slightly shaved.

I received my blue Kailh B-stock Nutcracker yesterday. The blue anodizing is so beautifully done! I'd barely call this B-stock. Not a single hairline scratch, just some very minor anodizing error. Have an A-stock MX version from before and that one actually has a hairline scratch.
I was a little disappointed though that the B-stock Nutcracker didn't come with a case like the A-stocks did though, but that's minor. Really happy to have one of each Nutcracker now. :)

Ooh, so that might explain why it was so damn pretty! It's funny though. I got both of them next to each other now and I notice that it's not the same blue hue. That was a surprise! The older A-stock MX cracker is more of a matte light blue and the recent B-stock Kailh cracker is borderline cyan! They're really beautiful and I'll have plenty of use for them too! :)

I received my blue Kailh B-stock Nutcracker yesterday. The blue anodizing is so beautifully done! I'd barely call this B-stock. Not a single hairline scratch, just some very minor anodizing error. Have an A-stock MX version from before and that one actually has a hairline scratch.
I was a little disappointed though that the B-stock Nutcracker didn't come with a case like the A-stocks did though, but that's minor. Really happy to have one of each Nutcracker now. :)
Still waiting on mine too, hopefully it comes in soon! Tracking hasn't been updated since the 28th

I wonder if another material, like inox, can be considered. Inox is cheaper than aluminium, and it requires no anodization and you have no B grade stock, since a little bit of polishing can make any piece perfect. And you have an opener with a much longer life.
