I won't be doing much with it. Mostly using this board for typing at school I think. I wanted to run LEDs in all of the switches though. I know nothing about this kind of thing though. I can solder just fine. If I'm using LEDS, should I solder a new diode in? What diode do I need and where can I get it? Haha. Like I said, I know nothing. Anything helps.

You'd may as well put a diode in and do it properly, the through hole ones are called 1W4148 and the black stripe on the diode goes on the side with the line on the PCB symbol.

If you're not planning on building lots of keyboards I'd post in the "free stuff" thread and ask for one, some friendly Canadian will surely have one going spare.  Mouser will sell me a single one for £0.066 or 100 for £0.012 each but they want much more than the price of a stamp to post it, unlike someone on here :))

Yeah, I needed 40 screws with spacers, and the shipping was twice the price of the goods. I ended up ordering some other stuff to make it worth the postage... which is JUST WHAT THEY WANT!

The replacement PCB came in today, thanks again. It went really smooth this time even though I managed to lose some keycaps...

Thanks again LeandreN really awesome group buy.

I probably know the answer to this question, but are there any extras? I cant find a sprit PCB anywhere.

In case there's not any left over, SPRiT recently made a deal with MK.com to carry his PCBs:
https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1351

59$ and free shipping. 5 left.

I highly doubt it. He's AWOL it seems. Logging on every now and again but never posting or answering PMs/emails.
If you really really want to keep supporting his behavior, I would buy his PCBs from the MK.com site. You'll get the PCB faster that way.. Sad, but true.

Of course. I never really was asking about the plate in the first place mostly the SPRiT FaceW PCB.

Got my plate + pcb + stabs in the mail from the leftover that were put on the store. the plate made it around the world without being bent at all :)

Thanks to LeandreN for holding my plate order and then combining three separate orders so that I could save on shipping!

If a round 2 does end up happening I would love if it could be TKL or even 75%. There's far too many choices for 60%, big boards need lovin too!

Fourth (?). I did the same suggestion on reddit, TKL is probably not going to happen as it would cost too much in shipping costs. 75% might be possible. Maybe he can join in on Ziptyze his Winkeyless groupbuy (IC is up on /r/MechMarket and exploding)

75% would be possible. However, i want to make my own case design first. I can use a winkeyless PCB. I am now talking to Winkeyless for PCBs. I might be able to sell them at the same price as the SPRiT PCBs(55$+shipping). I will run 60% until the case design is done(aluminium milled). Not sure if 55$ + shipping is cheaper than Ziptyzes GB.

A generic 60% case would be possible, but I am thinking about designing a 75% case

Ok, I thought you will run 60% until you make also a 60% case , but now I get it, it's about a 75% case. Anyway it's interesting

Indeed. It's probably one of the least popular or common layouts for mechanicals these days.

Awesome! Great to see that you found the best switches ;-)

Been Using Gateron Blues for the last 7 months and 4 months ago switched in 68g Sprit gold springs. This new guy has 68g on the big modifiers and 62g norms so its weird because everything feels pretty even in terms of force instead of the modifiers feeling like they are less.

These are the closest feeling to an alps that is a Cherry mechanism and yeah they are the best. Way better than the cherry blues or greens. No grit, more tactile, more thock with less high pitched click, less rattle, can be silenced, and cheaper to boot. Kailh is the only one of these off brand guys that are not even matching the quality of the original.

I used to like Cherry MX Blue until I tried Green, which is then that I realized that Cherry Blues were too "sharp" to the ears. When I tried Gateron Blue I fell in love. They sounded more like Green, but felt better. May try swapping them with some 62g SPRiTs I have.

No Issues with the 3MM LEDs as I really tucked them in there. It clears with less than a mm of total clearance for the downstroke. However, Cherry profile was just perfect for this choice as it really lets the keys glow nicely underneath. Still, need to install the underglow LEDs which will be mostly white.
