re: blacksimon: Yes, thank you for linking this. The case design is by seirin_blu, and is found at the link you provided. Sei (rin_blu) has been instrumental in the development of this little macropad.
re: _rubik: Yes, there will be extras once the GB orders ship.

35 Kits were purchased during the GB, and another 42 spare PCBs on top of that. A very successful GB, thank you all for your participation.

Placing the order with the manufacturer tomorrow (6 May, 2024), and will have these shipped out likely before the end of June.

If you intend to keep UK in base, you're missing a R4 \| key that'd go next to ISO's shorter Left Shift. Please give us that instead of the <> key that doesn't belong in UK support. But if you're dropping UK support in favour of a NorDe kit then that's okay.

Hey! I'm with a good news. GB starts on May 3rd at Novelkeys and their usual proxies. Kitting stays the same.

Shame kitting did change. Was hoping for a friendly way to get WoB Alice Support :(

Just noticed this
Lame, went from insta-buy to on-the-fence.

Yea, was going to grab 2/3 kits of the extension. But now maybe just the one, if that.

Noooo. Not the Durian!!

""Extreme heat has gripped much of south and south-east Asia over recent weeks, killing dozens of people, forcing millions of students to miss school and destroying crops.

Both the Philippines and Bangladesh shut schools due to the unbearable heat last month, while governments across the region have issued health warnings. In Thailand, at least 30 people have died from heatstroke since the start of the year.

The extreme weather has seen durian fruit burst on trees in Thailand, destroyed rice crops and caused eggs to shrink, according to local media. ""

Off Topic / PSA, Dithering, color correction
« Last post by tp4tissue on Sun, 05 May 2024, 09:07:46 »
If Ne'y'all use color correction, AMD is *infinity* times better than Nvidia.

Nvidia's dithering setup is a tediously manual reg edit, and it often breaks and just stops working, requiring reboot. It breaks whenever you unplug the monitor, or when the screen goes into power save, again, you have to reboot, or log-out,log-in, reloading the whole driver and startup tasks. If the computer detects an edid blip, the dithering will again break. Certain applications will turn it off, and it can't reload unless you reboot.

AMD, set it and forget it, JUST WORKS.  It's ridiculous that Nvidia can't fix this, it's been a complaint for over 10 years.  This means something is deeply wrong with their pipeline such that they can't implement a fix.

Keyboards / Re: Is someone here, who quit the hobby and is only lurking now?
« Last post by Rhienfo on Sun, 05 May 2024, 07:31:08 »
It's pretty natural for people to lose interest in hobbies, especially ones that are as materialistic as keyboards can be. I'm still wanting keyboards, but I doubt I will be actively purchasing keyboards in a few years, cause there really is only a few things I really want from this hobby. I'll definitely still be in the hobby if it's around (which I feel it will still be), like helping people or still rebuilding or building boards for other people (and of course resin for me)
plus I will probably still be talking to a lot of the cool people I have met in this hobby.

I feel like if you want to regain your passion in this hobby, you will need to engage more with in the diy aspect of the hobby. Creating cases - handwiring etc. If you've done that and you're still not fulfilled, just move onto something that you feel is worth your time, there really is no shame about it.

I don't really think a nicotine addiction is a very good comparison, it's not like keyboards chemically alter your brain to want more keyboards or something like that.
