I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

To anyone looking to start casting keycaps or get into artisan making, please don't let anyone discourage you. While it's definitely a daunting project to take on, it's not outside the grasp of almost anyone here, and the end results are very rewarding in my opinion. Do your research, be safe, and you'll have a great time.

I see established and random makers telling others starting out that they're making molds incorrectly because they're not 3D designed, or because they use qtips for sprues, or they're not using the resin/silicone that the 'maker' recommends. This is not incorrect at all. If you find a method/process/materials that works for you, and produces results that you're happy with, and that's safe, **** what other people are telling you, you do you.

There's more than one way to skin a cat, don't let these clowns tell you otherwise.

PSA Over.

Here's a compilation of guides/tips/tutorials/supplies for casting, run wild.

Mad respect for the PSA! I find that with any niche community, artisan service, or otherwise that there is always some sort of barrier to entry for aspirational creators. Of course the reasons behind the barriers are different between each case scenario but that is neither here or there. There's also personal barriers to entry, for example, I do resin fluid acrylic painting on wood and have been meaning to try my hand at casting some blanks but I am a shy individual in certain respects and reaching out for me can be hard. So for me at least, it's great to see an artisan creator be so forthcoming and open to help expand the community, so thank you dgneo (I'll be in touch in the future)! Of course this is not to say that other artisan creators are not open, I've heard some very good things about others as well.
I'm looking forward to checking out your repository of information you shared later this evening.
I'm glad I recently got an hhkb or I probably wouldn't have stumbled across your work! Is this thread the best place to keep up with your work and future raffles? Do you have an instagram account?

Anyways, love letter over. Keep up the good work!

Each cat has their own style and I get that , best way is to get your paws dirty and put em to work

(As someone foreign to this , it wasn't easy understanding everything at the start and even now to a certain extent but I'm graspin stuff as I find out more)

so for someone like me who want's to give artisan making a shot this post is immaculate
Only appreciation here, thank u
