CHESS CONCEPT KEYCAPS
« on: Sun, 19 August 2012, 08:31:39 »
I designed keycaps set that concept is 'CHESS'
I had sended a mail to SP and Received a quote.

New legends fees is 45$ each.

Pricing for the 17 key
: If I order 30set over Pricing is about 23USD.

prototype is each 65USD. (I requested 7 LEGENDS)

I have conducted a GROUP-BUY at KBDMANIA.NET
But, It was canceled due to low participation.

Who can help me?

I really want to make this keycaps !!!

So, I want to suggest GB on GH.

Can I put this keycap on my Keyboard?

I'm not a huge fan of this particular design, but I like the idea of a chess keyset.

Why not simply do only white on black and do it as dysub PBT?

This way, we have decent prices at low orders. And we get PBT !

dyesub would be cheaper but you won't be able to get white on black

I'm happy to help but I'm not sure if you have the interest to make this a successful GB...

What profile do you see these keys fitting on?

Woot! Go i3oilermaker! I like the keyset, but I'm still in hot water for buying the Mario and Luigi set... heh.

The biggest problem I see with this set is we are out $450 on legend fees before we even start making caps.

Why not just do 1 of each piece, so 6 total. Would be perfect for the Home cluster, or 6 white for F1-6 and 6 black for F7-12. Not interested in buying, but just putting the idea out there.

The price problem comes from the multitude legends. Adding more pieces is negligeable in the price.

That's true wrt the legend fees, but cutting out duplicates would make the production cost per set significantly cheaper.
