I am ok with being hhkb and tsangan only, but ansi bottom would be nice. What I am really not a fan is wkl 60% practically, but if someone wants it cool, I just want ansi
was always kinda bummed i skipped r1 elephant, this is looking super tempting. the one concern i have is that hiding the screws under the bumpons will make it a pain to open up again, will the feet use adhesive or will they fit into the case just using friction? otherwise looks really really good!

I share this concern. I'd rather that the screws not be behind the bumpons for ease of disassembly.

I have a few questions:
* is the daugtherboard we are talking about is C3 (ai03's Unified Daughterboard project)?
* will any other custom GH60 pcb fit (having C3 connector) besides the one board cames with?

I wouldn't put it quite so harshly, but I agree that the macro column is what gives the Elephant its distinctive look. I'm in for macros column

Yes, I don't understand why people not chosen it. I wasn't aware of the IC, so I cannot express my opinion, my bad.There is no accounting for taste unfortunately. Functionality aside, HHKB is clearly the most aesthetic layout, objectively speaking of coarse.... :cool: ...LOL (I kid, I kid)

HHKB! HELL YEAH!Completely agree I didn’t get into keyboards until after the S7 Elephant and wanted one so bad. Now that this is coming out I gotta have those bezels! I don’t even care about a 4 month lead time I’d definitely wait longer than that to get one of its unlimited, or at least a higher limited number. Not really wanting to pay a $1200 aftermarket price!
If there is not ever going to be an R2, PLEASE make it unlimited! Or at least enough to where it won't sell out in a minute... I NEED one of these!

i think 4 months is a pretty decent time frame. Most these Gb's take longer then that, sometimes A LOT longer.I’ve waited almost a year for a board before. I’d wait for this one.

Hi everyone. Really excited about this keyboard. Saw it on Mechmerlins video. Sorry if these are newbee questions but in looking at the pictures and the pcb layout images I have a couple of questions.1. Only the layout next to the one that says hotswap (fixed layout)
1.) For the PCB choices with the Hot Swap I can have it with any of the bottom row options in the picture or only the ones next to the text that says "Hot Swap".
2.) I see the 2 layout options and did not know the difference between WK & HHKB Layout options. Which ones would they be in the photos?
3.) In looking at the photos I see some with a smaller bottom row that has less keys on it and is not as wide as the rest of the rows. Is that the difference in the PCB choice or the Layout option?

Thanks for the update. So is the idea to have leaf springs on the Alu/Brass plates to give them some flex similar to having the PC Plate? Will the flex be similar then or will the PC still have more? Thanks.PC will no leaf cut since it was too flex ,
