GTFO escape key [designs]
« on: Sat, 10 September 2011, 04:56:31 »
Anyone interested in a white lettering on red keycap escape key with the letters "GTFO" on it? Presumably we could tack this onto round 4 or do it separately for speed?

Actually, should it not be one key

TITS
GTFO

default action being "TITS" then the alternate action would be "GTFO" :)

Yeah just email sales@solutionsinplastic.com.  This is what I did to combine my red ESC order with stuff from pimpmykeyboard.

To answer your last question the Group Buy 3 started last November/December.  Started shipping June 2011.   I haven't heard a target date for Group Buy 4 or how distribution will be handled.

Yeah, I'm aware of the long setup for the doubleshot massives, which is why if people want them fast we could do this separately. :] My current plan is to get a WASD semi-custom and then replace the keys with doubleshots (and maybe jellies) over time.

Since there's no simpler way to ask, they say they're non functional, and I take that to mean that they won't fit any keyboard because they don't have any mounting points, though I see little reason why that would be worthwhile... by chance are they cherry mx like the rest of what we get from SP?

Nope.  The PANIC and @#&^! keys are MX-compatible, but the rest are non-functional novelty caps.  Ripster has a wiki on how to mod them to fit MX keyboards, though.

A double shot would be cooler anyways and we could have two versions GTFO and TITS/GTFO. Whats the minimum Requirement to place an order?

Any color combination ideas? Fonts?

I don't really do novelty keys (I do not have a red Esc key), but the GTFO key is pretty funny.  I don't care for the "Tits" key.  I get plenty of that IRL at home.

I missed this earlier, I assumed SP since that seems to be what everyone goes through. A reason for fentek?

Tha tis too funny. That's exactly what I put on my design from WSAD. I just didn't actually go forward with it due to the uneeded extra cost and lack of coloring.

What are the requirements for the SVG you want? black on clear?

I just downloaded inkscape again, so I may have a crack at it.

I believe black on clear is what Signature Plastics usually works with. So that would be great. I'm thinking we should go ahead and switch to "(.Y.)" on top.

I don't know that we could build a full F row that would satisfy everyone since there's no real theme to create it around.

I would really like a few GTFO keys ... I'm willing to take over the GTFO portion of this buy, but I'm not interested in TITS keys, or in asking Melissa at SP to make them.
