hey sprit!
I was just wondering if there was any updates on the 5mm plate as I've paid my invoice around a week ago yet still haven't received any shipping notifications.

Has anyone in this thread heard directly from Sprit recently? I and several others in one of his other Group buys haven't had any updates on our orders for months ( and some even over a year ) and I'm starting to wonder if I should issue a charge back since its starting to look like too big of a risk for my tatse.

I have spoken with sprit 2 weeks ago via e-mail. At that point he said that 60% PCB are almost ready and last week shipping should have started.
I will try to contact him for an update, and if the PCB are not ready at least ship the other stuff because I need the springs for my boards. At this moment the PCB is the least of my concerns, I have other boards.
I don't want to go the chargeback road because I trust sprit and it would create only other problems. I hope he is OK.

I also spoke to sprit around 2 weeks ago to confirm my order for the additional 5mm layer. last time I checked, zeal already had most of my order on hold (I was waiting on LEDs), so at this point I'm just waiting for an update. hope everything is ok.

I'm looking to buy this case but am really confused as to what to get. I have a Poker II so would getting a 5mm/8mm top and a bottom case be fine? I messaged sprit on deskthority and he said that I needed both the 5mm and 8mm top case for my Poker... Any help?

you would probably need the 8mm top and 8mm bottom layer with an additional 5mm top layer (or if you dont mind the poker II plate sitting slightly on top of the top layer - as seen in the pictures above - then I guess 2 8mm layers would be fine, but most people will prefer the 3 layered case 5mm+8mm+8mm) :thumb:

What he said. My case right now is just the two 8mm layers. I ordered the 5mm layer, but havent received it yet (and so that picture of mine is just the two 8mm layers with the Poker II plate sticking out of it).

So yeaa... any updates about that 5mm top layer? I paid a little while ago.

I received my case from Zeal awhile ago, so I figure I will post a couple pictures for those of you on the fence still.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the case. It's beautiful, and gave my Poker X a really solid feel and a much more pleasant sound than the stock Poker X case. I love the way it looks. Install was very easy!

Really the only thing that bothers me a bit is that it's a serious fingerprint magnet, but that's just a given with acrylic.

I got the case as well but I sorta knew there was gonna be some finger print on it, therefore I opt for matte/frosty finish on the top layer.

I thought about it, but I really like the transparent look over the frosted look. It's crystal clear, it's pretty cool.  ;D

Frosted looks great too!  :thumb:

The top of the case isn't too bad with the fingerprints, it's the bottom and sides. I pick it up every few days to swap between my other boards, and the bottom and edges get pretty grimy after a few swaps. All is definitely good though, I love this thing!

I forgot to mention this in my original post, but Zeal was great to deal with. He put up with all of my questions and even took a few pictures of different colour combos of the case. Prompt and fast shipping, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.  :thumb:

Hello!   :)   There are some too thick cables.
Poker bundle Cable is 6-7mm at the Connector side,  Yours looks around 8mm thick.
Would You please check it ?

Yes!  If do not have another cable, You can shave the plastic coat 0.5 - 0.7mm both sides, Not Too Much.    ;)

* added :  Oh!  It seems 8mm thick cables bundled for some White Poker II .   umm... So Sorry for That!

Hi, I'm kind of interested in getting the case from this for my Poker II, although I am somewhat confused at what I should be selecting from the order form that would be for a Poker II, I read through the whole thread earlier but it didn't really help me. Can someone clarify what/how I would need to order in order to get parts for a case for my Poker II? Thank you for the help and I apologize if it was stated somewhere blatantly obvious and I managed to miss it.

EDIT: Post has already been answered by OP, thanks to the ones that answer my question as well.

you would need to order a top, middle, and bottom layer for the case. if you want the case to be flush with the poker plate (which most of us prefer), you can ask for a 5mm thick top layer. I believe all layers are 8mm thickness by default...

If the POK3R uses the same standoffs as the Poker II, then it'll fit no problem.

I almost ordered the PCB kit from your website yesterday ^_^

Does this GB come with the gold stabilizers? Would that be the zinc plated option?

Also if I am correct, for the Model 2S I would include the bottom and middle pieces, as well as the 60% plate?

Sorry for sounding like an idiot, this is my first GB :P

You can use this guide to remap FN to another key on FN2 (if you don't have short r_shift)

Gold plated stabs are only part of my GB kit.

Model 2S case comes with a 5mm bottom, 5mm mid & 5mm extended plate that works as top as well. 2S cases are made to fit the PCB (since the top piece is the plate). My kit is a poker compatible kit w/o case.

If I enter fn2 layer (fn+space), the Fn key turns into a `down` key. How do i return to default layer?

You can use this guide to remap FN to another key on FN2 (if you don't have short r_shift)

Thanks! Now onto the adventure of finding a short right shift keycap :)

I just found out I was stuck in the fn2 layer too, and you can exit it with esc+backspace! This was mentioned in the link zeal posted, by the way.

How do we go about ordering a HHKB style plate and is it possible to have other switch options (tactile gray)?
