Some recent ones of our little dude. Took him to PugFest a few weeks ago, it was great

) literally 500+ Pugs all playing and going crazy, he had a great time

We keep hinting about getting a second dog, we toyed with the idea of another Pug but I like the idea of getting a dog from a rescue.. We've met some lovely Staffies on our outings and there are so many of the damn things dumped in homes it'd feel a bit wrong to have another puppy.. Just depends on if we could acclimate one to our home and more importantly to Alfie.

Puppy time. Here is Zelda at about 9wks with one of her first ventures outside:

And a couple years later, as I'm a freelance web designer and spend a lot of time online, here is her way of being close without being too disruptive. This is when I had to learn to use a mouse left-handed more frequently:

I can go on forever with pictures of Zelda my pug. We did everything together. Hiking in the PNW, car shows (I build vintage Japanese vehicles... hell, her and I had matching company sweatshirts we would wear to meets and shows), road trips, house lounging, everything... she was an amazing dog.

I was at the Humane Society for the third time looking for a dog to replace <long story deleted> in three days. I went through and saw mostly the same dogs as the other two trips and was pretty discouraged. "One more time", I thought, and entered the dog area again. Around one corner was a crowd of people standing at one enclosure looking and commenting to each other about the dog in there. I approached and was just able to catch a glimpse of the dog and the name on the paperwork.

While everyone was admiring this dog which had just been put out for adoption, I dashed to the front desk and asked to meet that dog. She had been transported from California where they had called her an "Australian cattle dog". The folks here move a lot of animals through and so they just copied the breed info from the California paperwork.

So, here is Linda ("Beautiful" in Spanish), the most beautiful Basenji on the planet. She is a real sweetie.

Yeah, the Chinese did it right and bred them as a royal lap dog. Mine is never seemingly farther than an arm's reach and she makes a great snuggling pal. It probably didn't help that as a puppy I constantly held her... even when cooking.

I think at least 75% of the photos I have of her, are of her either sleeping with a heavy snore or just giving me the saddest face because I'm up and moving about so she can't lay on me so she can go back to napping.

Hi, everyone! I've just created this thread for us to discuss our furry friends. My wife and I own a Pomeranian named Laslow. It’s always a bundle of joy, waking up next to this critter. My wife is more enthusiastic of him than I am, buying him various pet treats, a chillow, a few chew toys, etc. It’s like having a baby once again, only hairier and naughtier. Such a blessing! How about you? What are your pet stories?
