I've been wanting an Alice style board for a while and couldn't find one with a layout I like, the Arisu board was close, so I've modified it to add some additional features.  Additions to the original Arisu PCB include adding USB-C, 3 indicator LEDs, an RGB strip header, and some extra keys (including an option for split or 2u backspace and stepped or full capslock), as well as some general routing and component cleanup.  The completed board weighs 2-2.5 lbs depending on case options.

The board is QMK compatible, firmware avaialble here: https://github.com/worldspawn00/Firmwares and eventually on the QMK configurator.

Timeline on the buy is to close when I hit 100 case orders, or 2 weeks, whichever comes first.  If there is a lot of interest, I will rerun the buy after the first round ships.  Estimated shipping is middle of October through the first week of November, depending on logistics.  Updates will be regularly posted here.


There are options to add plate foam, and upgrade the plate or whole case to POM, POM colors are limited to Black and White.  Acrylic is available in clear, frosted, white, black, and matte black.


A note on POM, POM looks similar to acrylic except it's going to be slightly less glossy and probably have small scratches on it, POM does not come with protective paper on it, so it frequently has small scratches from the factory. Please be aware of this if ordering a POM case.

I have the completed and working prototypes on hand and have confirmed that the board and firmware work fine. Photos below are hardwired due to the USB port being backordered, the final version will have a USBC port on the board.

The frosted(matte) black cases are in the OP photos, the black POM is going to look like any other smooth black plastic, the surface finish of POM tends to be a bit rough as it does not come with protective paper

I changed the name to Matte black to avoid confusion with the frosted clear, it should be available under that name now if you're interested in the black.

I'll pre load the boards with a standard layout so it'll be usable immediately, and definitely provide a .hex, and I'll try to get it into the configurator before it ships, it seems like they're processing PRs faster now so hopefully it'll be ready.

The only changes the standard Arisu makes is swapping the left bottom 2 1.25u keys for a left aligned 1.5, and dropping the extra B and right side 1.25, the stepped capslock and 2u backspace remain an option since their plate footprint is the same with both options.

Plate isn't particularly visible in the closed case, so didn't figure there was much reason to offer it in matte, but if you want it in matte, leave a note in the order and I can do it in that material.

POM is a bit more flexy, but not a lot, it's mostly a sound change with the increased density IMHO
