Isn't the last group buy still trying to get fixed?

Oh well, good opportunity for those elusive reds.  A you gotta do is buy a backplate, new switches, new keycaps, and an alu case and you got yourself a nice keyboard!

I'm sure there will be more cases in the future. There is one over at DT, but it is a bit pricey. There is the Poker plate buy going on though. I'm already in for one of those.

link to Alu case buy at DT please?

EDIT: found it :p

Why doesnt anyone like mx Blacks??
I used MX Blacks on my first mechanical keyboard a Steelseries 7G for about a year and a half. After awhile It felt like my hands were hurting so either the springs were too hard to press down for long gaming sessions, or I was just gaming too much. Got my first keyboard with MX Browns, and then another with Reds and have not used the SS7G since and I no longer have pain in my hands when gaming. I might also be gaming less now so not 100% sure where the problem was coming from.

hmm. well i do alot of RPG and such gaming on my computer, like Skyrim and the Mass Effect Series and The Witcher, but i have never had hand/finger  soreness or fatigue...  although i like my Filco TKL with Reds better then my Poker, the Poker just saves so much space and i like its style...   idk.  i would like to get a poker with Reds....  but then i feel like i would have to get another aluminum case for it...  :/

i put my name down on DT for two.

I used reds on a K60 for gaming, and found my fingers started to ache after a while. i think it's because i was bottoming out a lot, so i'm hoping blacks might be better. I'm currently using a filco with browns and it's great, but i'm keen to try more switches and i like the look and size of the poker.

I don't get the fascination with reds. I have a filco TKL w/ reds and they are far too soft for most uses, would dislike it for a daily driver. The problem with this GB is now we need another for a good case, lol. If only I could get this in a matte black (oh, and with the symbols on back in electric blue).

I don't think there's anything wrong with MX blacks.  I'm pretty sure that the reason MX reds are more often preferred is that it is easy to move to lighter switches but uncomfortable to move to heavier switches.  So, once you get used to the light switch, you're stuck there with everyone else.

Even at that price? They have a darker one, though I'm sure it won't be matte. But you could paint it or powder coat it to get it matte. And then paint the symbols the blue you want.
I'd already be in on it if it was still open.

The price is high but I did get one of Fengs TKL cases so this is tame compared to that. There are few things I spend a lot of money on and electronics (for which keyboards are a large subset) is one of them. No wife, gf doesn't care, the dream. What is appealing is that it would be a hefty case in a small form factor. Throw in the QWERkeys GB if that happens and I'll have a $400 keyboard that I won't be able to justify and thus will ignore the cost. :P

Do you think if I take it in to work I could write it off for tax reasons? lol

I tend to agree here. If it's Vortex, they haven't been very reliable in shipping a product on time, or ever, sometimes.
