You never know, shows that seem unmanly at first can end up being quite hype. I remember how Princess Tutu really got me invested. After all, it spawned this classic years ago:

I find it ridiculous that they have such crappy weapons  given their supreme mastery over energy storage via compressed gasses..

I mean.. think about how much chemical energy they can store in those canisters..

If they just made an AP shell out of that...  No titan can withstand it..

That said,  I still like the show..   action is fantastic,  story is well, it's anime..

I think what they should do..

Is now that Naruto is over...

And..... Fullmetal alchemist has that kid searching for other dimensions/universes..

They should do a mashup...

Oh man... that would be so cool..

Then explain chakra in terms of equivalent exchange,  for example everytime you summon a the big frog..  Another entire village is forfeited in exchanged in another dimension..

Then realizing this,  Naruto sets out to abolish ninjutsu sealing it away for all time..

And this develops into the setting for modern humans with no magical powers..

BUT THEN,   space aliens..   And we need to resurrect ninjutsu,    and a secret clan who has preserved the knowledge emerges,    but they need to find some   Hero Unit with the right bloodline trait...

Man , making anime is so easy.. why isn't everyone doing this..

cowboy bebop is cyberpunk to some extent, just a great show overall.

psycho-pass is a great show which, if you enjoyed GitS SAC you will probably love.

Serial experiments lain is also an interesting show with cyberpunk themes

Initial D is always good
Tokyo Ghoul anime is ****ing garbage, the manga is much better but overall I just don't like the series. The writer is very talented though.
Yuri On Ice isn't bait so if you're into that kind of thing then it's probably the best anime of the season.
Psycho Pass is good, Lain is also good but very different.

Personally I'm caught up reading the Haikyuu manga right now since season 3 ended, I'm sad that Euphonium is over, I should watch Flip Flappers, and next season looks like trash.

Yee, anime is always good in a home theater setup. Just felt neat to be able to go with a buddy to the movies and see an anime classic. I think Rebellion was the last anime movie I caught in theaters.

I gave up on projection because of the struggle with light pollution..

So I noticed that if you want the best image on screen, you need to remove all other sources of light, and have dark surfaces..

So Then I painted a room in my basement black, ceiling, floor, wall..

Now, I have no light pollution, the image looks good..   but then I realized, that whenever the scene transitioned from dark to light,  my eyes hurt because of the contrast..

So I have to put SOME lights SOME where to keep my iris open enough, such that the dark scene and light scene don't cause eye strain..

now We've come full circle,..  I go remove the lights,  but Now I still need more god damn lights..

Eventually, gave up.. went back to the TV.. hahahahhahaha

Upon further research.. after my personal foray into home projection.

Projection technology is actually a throwback.. to when we couldn't cast controlled light onto a surface by other means..

And it has persisted due to the nearly Unlimited size limited only by the power of the lamp..

This makes sense for a theater.... because they make money with 1 screen and a hundred seats..

But for Home,  there's no advantage to use projection, when a TV set provides equivalently precise image in all lighting conditions..

And now that we got affordable 70, 80 inch tvs.. there's almost no reason to go with projection for home use..

I really wanted a large screen, so I got a projector with a 100 inch screen for it. Though you're definitely right about light being an issue, I can't quite get that size with tvs yet, at least not in the same price range.
