Spiders...
« on: Sat, 12 October 2013, 15:23:58 »
A huge spider just came down from a string on the ceiling and crawled into my 120 Model M... I can't see where the ****er went... And yet I'm still typing on this keyboard... Please don't lay any eggs in there Spiderbro...
Reaper "frelled" me... Twice... Did he "frell" you too?... *brohug*
I'm camping for a week, and moving twice in a month. I'll get back to you when I can (If I don't then just send me another PM).

I just tried to stab him with a pocketknife between the keys, and now I've lost sight of him...

I took off the numpad 1 key and I can see him hiding under numpad 4 now...

Either be nice and shake him out or just push all the keys down.

I just pried off numpad 4 and quickly stabbed him a few more times before he could run away. Success. But now his juices are on the barrel frame...

I've cleaned up his juices and put the keys back on. All's right with the world. Now what was I doing again?... ****...

RIP spiderbro. Such an admirable spider. All he wanted to do was admire a piece of keyboard technology  :'(

Either be nice and shake him out or just push all the keys down.

The keys don't bottom out on the barrel frame, so it's impossible to squish him that way. That's just a good way to make him go deeper and hide better.

This sounds like quite the adventure

Define "adventure"...

**** Spiderbro, I can't kill him with fire unless it's a rubber dome.

With my luck he'd be blown onto my face... But there is a can of air less than 10 feet to my right.

The only spiderbro that I'll allow to live in my keyboards are jumping spiders. I hate spiders....but love cute little jumping ones.

Damn, you've got me checking the ceilings now ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

The spiders in this basement do that zip-lining thing from the ceiling all the time... And if you pound on the walls there's sure to be a few that'll come out to see what's up... The Spiderbros, they outnumber me...
