There's nothing your phone can do you need some minor incremental upgrade every year. Do yall know WHY cell phones have grown exponentially more expensive every single year? It's because companies want to squeeze every penny they can out of you with consistent new releases, but have hit a tech wall. No longer can they manufacture cps that are twice as fast as the previous gen they are literally making new phones faster than the technology growth curve. It's gotten to the pathetic point of increments of less than .5 GHz annually if that.
Hell I just got a Pixel 2 today and it uses the EXACT SAME cpu as the first iteration of the Pixel.(first new phone in 5 years, old phone can still run every app I can throw at it  but can't hold a charge very well anymore)

I don't do nothing heavy on the phone,

but what I do want is better response time, and it seems apple is way ahead on this..


Pixel 2 has a snapdragon 835,   so it is a new cpu.. from last pixel which used 821 i think.

Especially not a thousand dollars for the X. But this is Apple pushing the price point to see if suckers will keep paying hyper-premium prices for unnecessarily overpowered hardware, when all most people do is use facebook or instagram. And people are paying it. And because Apple is succeeding at this price point, the rest of the market follows and will soon be offering $1000 superphones and pressuring you to buy them.

While FaceID could be the future, I don’t think you should be paying premium for the first iteration. OLED screen is definitely nice but is it $1000 nice? Other than that, iPhone X has no other advantage over 8. I’d go for the 8, if I were you.

but overall.. I don't think i would've gotten the X,  because of the screen and I just wonder if a screen protector would cover it at all.

Because my current s7,  the screen protector doesn't cover it all that well, because of the curve.

The ipho 8 has a -mostly- flat screen part.. and I've seen glass screen protectors cover most of it.

Even though the new Mac "hardware" is crap nowadays, by which I mean the trashcan, the macbook, and the macbook pro, only with the notable exception of the upcoming iMac Pro, the iPhones really are sick in terms of experience (zero lag, instant everything) and raw processing speed.

Like tp says: it really is THAT MUCH faster, nothing compares. And battery management is perfect, you literally don't have to think about it. You don't need apps to manually close down power hungry apps.

However, the iPhone X with that "romeo juliet" dildo area cut out is an effin' joke. I mean.. and then the price. For dat moneyz iLLucionist buys 1080 Ti.
