Would add quite a lot of extra cost to the set. I personally don't see it as a needed addition and would rather have a better priced kit, rather than having 100% compatibility.

Hey guys, small, mostly uninteresting update just to keep you in the loop.

I got pricing from GMK just the other day, so I'm gonna spend tomorrow figuring out what all expenses need to be factored in and then I'll post all the actual GB prices in the thread, the main post and on my website DMKeys.com

So, I got some exciting news just the other day, but I didn't announce it because I wasn't sure if it was a mistake on GMK's end but I got confirmation that it is accurate.

The novelty kit has an MOQ of only 100! Not to be over zealous, but I feel like that is perfectly realistic!

Please please note, the base set MOQ is STILL 250!!! Only the side kits have an MOQ of 100 and that is only if the main kit makes MOQ as well

If only the MOQ were so low.. that would take so much stress off my mind

GMK Necro will be proxied through mykeyboard.eu for Europe! I'm working with them closely to work out the best situation for you all. VAT is annoying and confusing for my tiny American brain, and I'm sorry for all of you who have to deal with this on a daily basis

This looks awesome

Will you be getting color samples from GMK to verify accuracy? The colors are pretty subtle/muted and in my experience a lot of custom colors come out too bright, which could really kill the set imho.

Great work so far, looking forward to it

I WILL be getting colour samples from GMK, however, due to the process of custom colours being very expensive to do small batches of, they only provide physical samples after the order is placed.
In the meantime though, GMK will be sending me a Pantone book to help me get a good understanding of the colours, physically. If for no reason other than to give us a good starting point to go from

gmk is very helpful...i asked for a sample on one color and they sent the whole ring...excited to see it...i was thinking it wouldn't hurt to host a group buy with kono on the gmk set...if they are not to busy...still haven't seen the render...said all that because it made me think of the comment you made about the 250 moq being stressful...and while i think this set is amazing and should have no trouble hitting that the idea of double hosting group buys might help you alleviate stress

for example the non custom color moq is 150...and the render gmk sent you looks fire even with the colors being off...if you could settle on non custom colors that were close enuf to suit and put it out there...150 would be cake

if sounds crazy disregard...peace

This set is no where near the stock colours GMK has available, unfortunately. Their palette is very... basic? I think is the word to use. Like, their palette covers normal colours but when it comes to muted tones it's not stellar.
I do have a colour ring as well, but again, all the colours in this set are custom so it's not too useful

yeah i saw something about novel keys...if i am confusing distributors forgive me but i think they sponsor top clack...i love that show...if you reach out to them and they show you some love on the show...it would go along way...to be a show about keyboards it is crazy how much drama the show gets...its better than cable...i get hyped ever thursday over it

1. Yes, all kits are finalised
2. Even if they weren't that would increase the cost of the kit by a noticeable, which is exactly what I tried to avoid with the novelty kit

The alphas are meant to be a pale green. Real pale.
The specific colour is a hex value that you can see on the GMK renders.

However, the 3D renders by Oblotkzy are what I'm ACTUALLY going for, please don't expect the colours to look like the GMK render.

That said, GMK will also be sending me some Pantone sample things to give me better tools to pick the right colours.

Hope that's clear about what the colours will be.
