Now are you all just buying two HHKBs each, or can you order the HHKB with your desired cap colors? Anyway, very nice board you got there

Very true! Also thanks to you I have lubed all of my Topre! Krytox Lube + Silence. Perfection.

Look like I'm going to have to try lubing the stems then. I see where Bro Caps posted a photo showing where to lube. In a nutshell, I just take the board apart, flip over the top and lube in those two places with my Krytox?

Anything I'm missing? Any suggestions, or videos?

To lube the slider channels you will have to pop out all the sliders. The HHKB is case mounted meaning the sliders are literally mounted in the case top. When you remove the PCB from the case top you have to be careful with the springs and domes and then when you reassemble you have to be careful everything is lined up or keys won't register.

Those aren't original HHKB caps...my guess is they're from grey Realforce.

HOW. I MUST KNOW.

I'm also interested, all 45g?

Movin' on up to full size.

(Attachment Link)

I would have loved a fullsize but 55g was more important. Board looks great though, is that a Toxic T1?

I've made my left meta key + wasd into arrows for my left hand. very easy to hold the meta with your thumb and use wasd as normal. Very nice for those of us who need it. Takes a couple days to get used to it but now keyboards with arrows are just weird ;)

Not a problem at all if you do it right, left meta will be fine on it's own, the way I have it set up is only if you hold it in and press wasd will it give arrows otherwise it's just a normal left meta. I can give you the script but it's for keyremap4macbook.

PM me if you would like more detail, we should get back on topic here :)

55g FTW!!!

I actually use my Leo for programming at work because I like the small layout better for that, but I absolutely love typing on the RF 55g.

Why don't you pick up the blank FC660C? They still show it as in stock at EK.

yeah your review of the FC660C really sold me on it, and my shine 3 totally turned me off from TKL's so i'd only be using the RF for its domes/caps. I'm itching to try out 55g's for a bit though because i am heavy handed, ill probably end up just picking up a brandy new FC660C and a used 87u off classifieds. keyboards dilemmas man, they will keep you up at night  :-\

I seriously debated between either the 55g 87U or the FC660C for my re-entry back into Topre. In the end I had to go with the 55g keys. As much as I think the 660C is a superb 60%(-ish) board, I gots ta have me dem 55g's

Unfortunately, yes. There are certain situations where I need an extra keyboard, and I was really missing the Topre feel. So what the heck.

I do wish that someday I could have a Topre ErgoDox, but that day is not anytime soon :(

It would have to be a used board that doesnt work Id assume.. Only option is to buy a board and use the keys or to buy the keyset with proxy on tao bao.
