You leave Bro Bots and other artisan keycaps on your work keyboard?

But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Also, I think it's beautiful~<3 !!! Only thing is the the wrong profile spacebar :P Have you ever tried flipping it? I see the wear is literally on the edge of the keyboard. You should give flipped a shot. Might be more pleasant for your thumb, good sir.

Unfortunately even some of the most frequently used pbt alpha keys on mine are showing a bit of shine after 1.5yrs of daily use. If you use them enough any keycap material will shine eventually. I have a black HHKB so at least spacebars are cheap and obtainable (for now) from EK.

Is the type S worth it in your guys opinion? Seriously debating selling my F660C for a HHkb, and also debating 2 vs S

Yesssss, but I would do what I did (obv lol) and buy a used Type-S which doesn't have that weird whistle/fart sound. :P

That makes sense. Does anyone know if EK.com would consider the whistle a warranty issue?

Do the newer models have it or something?

Intelli78 complained about his and received a replacement from EK.

It seems like almost all new Type-S' have the whistle sound issue, but it should go away with usage.

Thanks for the help Epzy. I know they lengthened the topre stems for the Type-S, but does it feel quite a bit better then if I did  the silent mod myself?

Just my 2 cents, I have never used the slient mod but I have a normal Pro 2 and the type-s and I far far prefer the type-s. Difficult to describe but the key presses just feel more precise. I really don't think you will regret spending that difference.

I'll be pretty blunt about it... dental bands and/or lube SUCKS compared to Type-S. Type-S feels way more tactile and snappy, but it is a tiny bit more noisy than the ghetto mod.
