Hello everyone!
 
I'm very happy to present to you something that I have been working on for a little while . I recently found out about a new keycap manufacturer called Keykobo and I became really interested in running some classic colorways with them following their WoB and BoW releases . This is a quick IC to gauge interest and see if I missed anything when making the kitting .

Is it really? With vendors already selected and GB a week away it seems more like just advertising.

Either way, if the quality lives up to the price then this could be good.

It would have been interesting to wait for WOB and BOW sets to arrive, so people can actually see the quality of the manufacturer before rushing into this, but cool

There are pictures of the Sea of Clouds set that they made already on zFrontier and they look extremely promising , thank you very much Mr. Ankit for linking it .

I find the two line 1.5u backspace pretty jarring. In other sets like this (looking at Hineybeige for example), the 1.5u backspace is a single line.


Is this because of some legend margin or alignment requirements unique to Keykobo that aren’t present in GMK? I really hope that this can be resolved, this is an IC after all  :thumb:

I agree that a single line looks better but to my knowledge there is no option to go with that with Keykobo since it wasn't in the file with the mold layout they provided.

I have their white and blue set. It's been like two weeks now. I took the photo on another site. If you have any questions, I can answer or show specific places in the photo.

is this as good as GMK in terms of the doubleshot, color match etc? The blue set didn't look amazing based on the pictures.
Why is this being run now when Keykobo has not delivered a successful GB? (ie. WOB/BOW that ran a few weeks ago, blue set was not a big gb, not sure if it was even a gb, i think zf ordered it)
if anything, this should delayed until they prove competence. no one should give monies to new manus so easily after kat did what they did

you can just go to twitch and search for geons twitch channel and you will see a video of him reviewing a keykobo set and comparing it to GMK Rudy. Judging by that video I think that its worth giving Keykobo a shot even for that price.

Looks promising (the control key and the space bar etc.), I hope he has a GMK set with text-based mods to compare with this sample though.

no matter what you do in this day in age, you ic will get one of two responses:
1 - "ugh, this is such low effort. work on it more before posting"
2 - "ugh, theres no room for change. why would you even post and IC?"

Yes they will be , same goes for CMYK and CMYW kits that will be in the GB (Note that the white legend on the CMYW will be CP to match Dolch)   . Group buy thread should be coming soon once it gets approved .
