Sad to get the refund email. Then I read the "pre-order cancelled" page.
The subset splitting/pricing problem seems solvable to me. And I really want this wonderful keycap GB to carry out.
Is there any way/plan to reopen the GB some time in the future?

I'm sorry to hear about the bad news, as I've been looking forward to pimp my keyboard up!

This is by far the best looking set out there. However, i understand your concerns and situation and I fully support it. Thanks for investing your time and money into this.

If there is a way to redo the group buy for the same date, keeping the same delivery time but re-do'ing orders, i'm sure that most of us would be up for it!

Got my refund too, I appreciate your willingness to be so upfront about everything Evan, takes a lot to be able to admit shortcomings even if you're not the one at fault.
