It's OK for living in the suburbs down here in the South. My family pays for 30 down and 5 up, so I'm not complaining. Fastest available is 50/10, but it is a lot more expensive than our current plan.

I get 100/5, which is just a douche-move from the ISP. Would easily sacrifice some of my down speed to not have to worry so much about up speed. I can upgrade my up speed though, to a whopping 10!

Used to have 50/50 back with the parents, and their ISP offers 400/400 for less than my current one wants for 200/5. Not too pleased with the offerings from my ISP, but I get a good deal on it, so it's not too bad.

This is the free wi-fi provided by my apartment complex...when all of the students move back in in the fall, it will drop to nothing again, however, I'll be on my own charter line with 50d and 10u by then.

But yet Centurylink insists that my location isn't eligible for 20... and I live literally on the same street as the city central dslam 2 blocks over where 2 blocks from the dslam in the opposite direction people can have 100 on fiberoptic. Sad joke.

the pic below 31 day stat represents only 1 week of use. i was away for the rest... so basically quadruple it for normal months+ another 400-500gb for other than torrent.   




.... i'm actually a little embarrassed now that I look at it..  but.... this is not as bad as when I competitively seeded from home.

they got it down in florida too for $40/ month..... up here, it's $105 for 85/39 with tv... I'm so peeved... damn you FIOS monopoly.

how is the torrent speed with Comcast these days.. I think they're back in my Area... perhaps if I could get a comparable deal from them.. i 'd switch back..

but how is the torrent speed-..   are they still modulating?
