The Holmen is a minimal 65% gasket mount keyboard made with productivity in mind.

The top right blocker seems out of place here. If you plan on keeping it, I suggest adding a logo.

I think this is a nice looking board, I want to reiterate and say that I think a logo on the corner blocker would look great, if not remove the blocker. The other thing is it would be nice if it came in different top options as I am not a fan of WKL builds.

I'd be interested if 1) there were a WK version and 2) the top-right blocker were removed. Don't especially mind the oversized rotary but right now it's approaching Pinnacle 65 blocker levels

I think you've got a strong design coming up here. I agree that on this particular board you might have a few too many statements happening. The big rotary encoder works for me, but the top right blocker needs to go in my opinion, even a logo wouldn't look right. I would also given heavy consideration to returning the winkey and some consideration to removing the arrow blocker.

In short, I think it would look more balanced with the rotary encoder with no blockers, but there is a priority level to which blockers I would lose (starting with the top right and ending with the arrow blocker).

Just my opinion obviously which is going to be biased with my personal tastes. GLWIC!

Looks good. Are you going to use vendors for different regions? Do you have any discord server dedicated for the board and do you have any previous experience with producing boards?

Some suggestions:
- Add WK, too many blockers atm and majority of the ppl actually use WK.
- Add some badge logo on the top right corner.
- Optional hotswap option with split bs. This is personal thing - it is always good to have one PCB with option to experiment with switches without having to constantly solder/desolder.

I love the overall design, though I'd prefer if the knob is a littler shorter, maybe at a similar height as keycaps, right now it's sticking out too much.

I agree with everyone else. The top right blocker is out of place and strange. I personally usually like the look of a corner blocker with a logo, but honestly even that wouldn't really fit the design of the board in my opinion. I would simply get rid of the blocker completely and put a switch in its place. I also agree that the knob is a little large. If it was my design to change I would use a smaller knob and shrink the space between the macro keys and alphas as well as shrink the side bezels. The macro keys look a little off to me in the current form,they look like they were deigned to fit on a board with an exploded arrow cluster.

Overall the design looks great. Just needs a few tweaks to get it perfect. Good luck with the group buy.

Thanks for all of the feedback thus far, it has really been helpful.

• Based on the feedback I will be removing the Top Right Blocker and I'll be adding back the windows key.
• I'll additionally be reworking the knob to be a bit smaller and more to the dimensions described by you guys.

I have not gotten as far as vendors yet as I wanted to finalize the design and get some feedback first. I'll make a discord in the coming days as it seems like people have a lot of questions so keep an eye out for an update about that :D No I have no experience in producing them at all this will be my first board.

Glad you're considering removing the top right blocker and WK, I also find the bottom row kind of strange, I love that there's a split spacebar option but none of the options are standard? I'd like the classic 1.25/1.25/1.25/[some 6.25 spacebar (split or non-split)]/1.25/1.25/blocker/arrows or another popular layout as an option. Aside from that I the sizing / rotary placement / everything else, looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

I’d say keep the WKL! Agree about making the knob a bit smaller. Your original design without the corner blocker and a smaller knob is perfect

Everybody is entitled to their opinion ;) I respect yours  :thumb:, but for me, currently owning a board with a badge up there, it just looks better based on my personal taste.

I would personally suggest having the option of choosing WK or WKL, I personally love the look of the WKL here.. specially given that it separates the arrow cluster.

Agree with the majority here on the top right corner though, something needs to fill that space.. it's kind of jarring.

I am all in for this design no matter how it turns up.

Would however suggest the below,
Offer WKL and explore with 1.25U keys and 6.25 space similar to the Tiamo V2 TKL.
Push the arrows cluster slightly to the right so there is a some separation around them.
Top right blocker would be terrific.

Definitely keeping an eye on this one. Ticks all my boxes. Nice minimalist design in a 65% layout with a rotary encoder  :eek:
I do like the WKL layout and I like the top right blocker, with or without badge, but it at least needs a logo to give it some extra identity.
